Brilliant hotel. Beautiful room, great staff, great food, good bar. Free car park across the road. Fiona and her team are excellent. Ideal base from which to explore this beautiful part of the country.

First experience of staying here and right from the beginning before we even stayed the staff were great! Very helpful and accommodating. We had an overnight stay in the honeymoon room for our wedding night and everything was top notch! The bed was comfy and all facilities were clean all round, even breakfast in the morning was great! Right down to room temperature butter blocks…no one likes cold butter blocks that you have to wait to warm up! Would deffo book again and return soon.

This is a 'go-to' place on our list. The staff are great and there's a good choice on the menus. Dog friendly too!

Stayed here 29th of November 2023. Super friendly staff. Extremely helpful. Nice clean and comfy room. Comfortable bed. Excellent shower, super hot and great water pressure. Nice cold drinks and good food in the pub. Parking off-site, but relatively close by. Stop outside and drop your bags off first, then go and park.

I had to mark the room however we didn’t even get to stay ,we booked via Airbnb 2adullts 1pet the room looked beautiful ,it was out of the way of our end journey but we thought it was worth it to stayWe finally arrived and we were told they didn’t know we had a dog l showed her the confirmation email from Airbnb clearly stated 2adults 1pet to be told well you should have told us when you ask other questions WHY ! We had reserved a dog friendly room all sorted as far as l was awareThe owner was indifferent non apologetic and rude very matter of fact l have no room you can stay over the road in my other hotel No apologies whatsoever it was our faultWe walked away !Terrible experience!Owners l suggest you read your confirmation emails better from the travel agent you use to book your rooms and perhaps be a little more understanding!

This is a very clean, tidy and well-looked after pub on the Hight Street of Hexham. A good pint of Guinness and a good selection of whiskys. Very friendly landlord/barman. We would definitely visit again when in the

We have just returned after spending 2 nights at The Coach and Horses Inn. Our room was really lovely, with everything we needed. They had thought of everything, including ear plugs. There was some noise at night due to it's location but the plugs did the trick. The room was warm, had a great large screen television and a fabulous bathroom. Very clean. The breakfasts were very good and the evening meal we had. Couldn't fault it. Staff were really helpful too. Good location for the town.

We stayed here on 28 September 2023 as we were house hunting the next day. We couldn’t have had a warmer welcome from Ian and the other staff on duty. Our room was very pleasant room and spotlessly clean. The room had a nice sized shower en-suite and it was a comfy stay. Friday’s breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Stayed last night, absolutely beautiful. Fab service, happy staff, cosy pub. Lot's of space, great to walk about town centre. Brilliant room. Definitely spent money doing up rooms. Worth a visit, excellent breakfast, highly recommend by myself, we will certainly be back.

Went in this afternoon for a quick snack, staff were very friendly and cheerful. Ordered a pint and half a lime & soda, along with their afternoon special. The food was very good and filling, we went for the tuna melt and pulled pork, along with mushroom soup and chips, both came with salad.I think the only thing I didn't like was the salad came with a dressing on which wasn't for me, I would've preferred to have been asked if I wanted it on, but my other half ate it so it didn't go to waste.Definitely recommend.
