“Lovely little pub. They were full when we got there but they turned the heaters on in the garden and came out to get us when a table inside was free. Allowed dogs inside. We all had Sunday roast and it was good. They also had a veggie option which could be adapted to vegan. Big portions.”

“We called in on a whim for early tea. It was pleasantly busy and had a nice vibe. The service was a little slow, but as I said it was busy. I ordered the Mountain of ribs, and it was a mountain! Lovely chips too.”

“Great place to watch sport. Screen is large, pub spacious and uncrowded, staff really friendly and accommodating. Dog friendly, good prices, respectful clientele and yummy toasties. Decent pint of guinness too. Thank you for all the doggie treats!”

“Visited on a Friday evening with my wife to try out some real ale [some reviews suggest that The Fox's Den serves food, but are confusing it with The Runnng Fox daytime eaterie in the same building].Truly a den, accessed down some stairs from the street. Unpretentious surroundings, fox related artefacts on the walls, with many wooden chairs and tables within a confined space before a small bar. Mostly men on our visit and some dogs, but a friendly atmosphere. Small selection of local real ales at very reasonable prices. Beer was well kept. Would visit again.”

“We just had our wedding day at Barluga and it was fantastic! Andrew planned a fab afternoon for us from walking down the aisle to feeding us all the wonderful food Barluga served. We had a fantastic time and highly recommend Barluga as a lovely venue for your wedding! It was just want we wanted from our day and the Morpeth team did a fantastic job of executing all our plans perfectly. Thanks again Andrew and the team!”

“The best coop going! Always have everything in you could think of or need in a rush. The staff are lovely and there’s a post office inside that’s open the same hours as the coop which is amazing!”

“Booked to eat dinner here as we were staying nearby & they have a decent varied menu with some good veggie options. When I called to book I was asked if we were bringing dogs, as they have a dog friendly dining ares, we weren't - but worth knowing anyway. We had a friendly welcome & the food was really fresh & tasty.I would have had a dessert if they'd offered cheese & biscuits, but unfortunately they don't.We all enjoyed our dinner - I'm definitely eating there again the next time I'm in Amble.”
