We had wanted to get out for a night and after looking through trip advisor with the filters on we found this great pub. They catered to our 2 dogs which is always handy as they both have their own issues They have a great gluten free menu which meant my partner was able to get 3 courses, in some places she struggles to get more than two options for a main. Me and 6 friends visited twice during a week of exploring Northumberland on our motorbikes and, both times, we were really pleased with the food and the service. All the food was nice and fresh and cooked with care and attention. The atmosphere was good in the pub and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. Had a recent visit here while we were in the area. Having struggled to find anywhere offering a good selection of vegan food it was a joy to come across this place that had a separate vegan menu. Choices - woo hoo! The food was excellent. If it had been closer to where we were staying we would have gone back several times. Added to that it is dog friendly so win win
