Quite a nice tea room but it's more of a cafe really.Service was very friendly.Afternoon tea was a little disappointing. The savoury layer needs something else, it could have done with cheese scones as well as the fruit scones and more than one cake each (but smaller portions and less sweet).

Lovely setting with friendly, helpful staff and well prepared and served food. It does get very busy at times as you might expect.

What a delightful cafe that I found by accident. The menu was fantastic lots of variety. Me and my husband had the most wonderful lunch the food and presentation was fabulous. If I lived closer I would eat here all the time. All tables were full and people were queuing at the door. I will 100% return here when we next visit Morpeth can not recommend enough. Thanks for the wonderful lunch oh and the homemade coleslaw was divine!!!

After researching on Trip Advisor we decided today, whilst travelling to the Northumberland coast via Morpeth, to eat at The Chantry Tea Room. We are so pleased we did. My husband chose the soup and I Welsh rarebit both of which we really enjoyed. As we had ordered a pot of tea for two, we were pleased to be offered extra hot water without asking. As we were sharing a scone (full from the soup and rarebit) the extra tea was very welcome. The staff were welcoming and very pleasant and the tea room really nicely presented. We shall definitely visit here next time we are in Morpeth.

I went on a 2 hour walk and decided to stop and rest at the tea rooms. It was very busy but it didn't feel chaotic. I ordered my lunch and went and sat outside in the garden which has beautiful flowers all around. My lunch was lovely and I was sat eating, there were quite a few birds that came up very close and were very tame which gave the tea rooms a unique feel. Overall a very lovely place to visit.
