After researching on Trip Advisor we decided today, whilst travelling to the Northumberland coast via Morpeth, to eat at The Chantry Tea Room. We are so pleased we did. My husband chose the soup and I Welsh rarebit both of which we really enjoyed. As we had ordered a pot of tea for two, we were pleased to be offered extra hot water without asking. I went on a 2 hour walk and decided to stop and rest at the tea rooms. It was very busy but it didn't feel chaotic. I ordered my lunch and went and sat outside in the garden which has beautiful flowers all around. My lunch was lovely and I was sat eating, there were quite a few birds that came up very close and were very tame which gave the tea rooms a unique feel. Overall a very lovely place to visit.

We love the Chantry, it’s a lovely little cafe/ tea room beside Morpeth tourist information. Lovely staff, nice decor and a range of dishes from breakfast to quiches to sandwiches and excellent cakes and bakes
