Food is all practically vegan and it is tasteless, the fruit scone was heated and was so stodgy, and the butter would not spread as it was too cold ,have been going there for quite a while, but don't think we will go in anymore, and there is a long wait for food .

My friend and I called in today for a snack/cake and coffee. We were both a little disappointed by the food. The cheese scone was tasteless, no cheese flavour at all. We both had cake, and both said the same thing... so sweet and sugary, but no real flavour. We both spent over £10, which I have to say, wasn't money well spent!

What a lovely place to go whether solo or with friends. Fantastic staff- nothing is a problem. Quality food, no matter what time of day! So welcoming and its shelves stock a huge variety of interesting consumables. Anyone who criticises the Morpeth Larder must have a very unhappy life!!
Fabulous cafe, excellent service, a five star rating from

Unfortunately breakfast was disappointing. The coffee served was tasty but couldn't be called hot. The breakfasts served were the same. The room was cold and the food wasn't hot when it arrived at the table. The eggs were dry and the bacon tough (not crispy) and the cutlery supplied wasn't up to scratch to cut through it. I think it would have all been a lot nicer if it had been served piping hot

I’ve had too many unpleasant experiences here, to the point that I would never return. I asked for cream with my coffee, normally a normal choice - 50p extra and I can’t remember the cost of more butter to spread on my toasted tea cake. The service was really slow and not very welcoming. Now I just walk straight past and go somewhere else. There are plenty other coffee shops and when you get a poor experience, people will just vote with their feet. Take note Morpeth Larder - poor show all round.

Vibrant cafe in an excellent location at the head of Sanderson Arcade. We were fortunate enough to be seated outside under the shades, great for people watching! Tough choice between the full English and a large home baked scone - full English won on this occasion. We are hoping to return soon
