Was a good vibe on Xmas eve, until the called last orders at 20:30? our last round was fosters parading in a madri glass, bad line or horrible pint- either way not what we ordered. Took back to the bar (7 pints) to return and we were met with a foul attitude from John the barman who refused to change our pints or even acknowledge they were off. Terrible service, on top of extortionate prices. Most likely won’t be coming back, this place used to be a good night. Would not recommend

The food here is delicious, the venue is very welcoming and always has a great atmosphere, also they provide a takeaway option for the carvery, which I use regularly as the food is second to none both in deliciousness and price.

Me and my partner went for a birthday meal together tonight at tea time. The staff were lovely the food delish. Could not eat it all so brought a doggy bag home ??.Would def recommend.31. 00 for 2 mains and 2 drinks.Parking: No problem parking large car park

Called in about 7 pm on Saturday night. Plenty people in for food but we managed to find a table. Staff were attentative order taken promptly and we didn't wait long for our food. Main course came with veg, chips and sauce served on the side. Prices were reasonable we had one starter 2 mains and a round of drinks for £42.
Purely by chance on holiday on the way back to Slaley Hall, found this pub for an early evening meal and what a find!!!Friendly & welcoming, the food we ordered was of excellent quality, plentiful and great value for money!Black Sheep ale slipped down nicely too. The food we ordered were the Meat Feast Parma, Spicy Meat Feast Parma and Baron of Beef. All superbly cooked and great tasting.The three of us were well stuffed and couldn’t move for a bit ?.Can thoroughly recommend this place and would definitely have no hesitation in using this place again! Thank you.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Brilliant quality, great portion sizes and I’ve never left a pub full after spending £12.50. All three of us were extremely happy and wish we’d found the place sooner. Music was great too. Chicken Parmos are 10/10! Well done chef/he/she/they!! ?

The food was really lovely, the staff friendly and cheerful. It was a busy night with the people in for tea before heading to the fireworks display. Our waiter Kylie was so kind and helpful nothing was a trouble to him.

I didn't actually have any food but friends that did said it was very tastey - loaded natchos, fries & pizzas from the street food van in the car park,the pub does have a local reputation for good meals & great Sunday dinners. We went for a friends birthday celebrations,I hadn't been here for quite a few years,still nicely done out inside, with a good atmosphere, we found there to be a good choice of beers,wines,spirits & cocktails, table service was available for drinks when we were outside with friends.
