First time at shillbottle but wasn't disappointed, server was friendly polite and more than attentive to my dads ability issues. Service was quick and food amazing even bought pies and cakes to take home. I just wanted to drop a couple of lines to say a huge thank you to all your wonderful staff at Shilbottle running fox today, we were a party of 5 (hen party with Gary barlow). Even though it was a busy weekend everything was outstanding from the service to the food, highly recommend the afternoon tea. Thank you for helping make this memorable day extra special. Just got home from an absolutely fantastic night (Valentine’s Special) at the Fox. I knew this night was gonna be good but omg it way suppassed my expectations. The staff are all so lovely & friendly, special mentions for Tracey, Lisa, Beth, Kris & Dave the chef!! Don’t get me started on the food, not gonna need to eat now for a week. I’m not joking the three courses were amazing!! Or should I say Muckley Bari haha ?Parking: Plenty of room to park your car, free also

First visit to the Shilbottle arm of the infamous Running Fox and we were so pleased we took the journey as it was worth every mile and penny. Greeting was so welcoming and we were immediately settled into a great booth and provided extensive menus. Food was outstanding opting for doorstep sandwiches with small side dishes and delicious coffee and tea. The place started to fill up and we were quite happy sitting nattering and ordering more coffee, preparing to place an order for a sweet treat, however, we were notified that our table was required for another booking, which we weren't aware of and were disappointed to have to leave without tasting their sweet choices. If it said on the website when I booked I must have missed the time restrictions (even though we had a table for 2 hours) take this as a compliment for us wanting to stay longer. Not to worry we will be back again to try your cakes.
