Main St, Farnsfield, NewarkWe visit England quite frequently to see our family and the Plough is our first stop. It's your classic English pub. Lots of friendly locals, great food, and an even better atmosphere.
It's absolutely our favourite and I'm sure if you're looking for a good time and a good vibe, this is the hidden gem you've been looking for! ? 10/10 recommend a drop in!

The Rustic Crust
Main St, Farnsfield, NewarkThe pizzas are excellent here & we were very impressed by the olives too. All staff were helpful and pleasant although wait times significant as it was busy all the time - earlier better than later. Booking highly recommended.
We chose to move from inside to the courtyard which was very pleasant & relaxing, albeit warm due to high outdoor temperatures. Although inside is air conditioned (I think), the lack of noise dampening meant that it was very grating and stressful because of the noise levels.

Hexgreave coffee shop
Hexgreave Hall, EstateWe visited Hexgreave Hall 21st Aug for a cake and coffee break.
We were greeted in a friendly manner by the staff who were very efficient.
Sitting outside, we were brought menus very quickly. Our choice was delivered quickly in the same friendly manner. The food was tasty and delicious. We will definitely return.

Woodberry Teahouse Café & Shop
38 Main St, Farnsfield, NewarkFirst time visit Sunday 5 Oct 2025 -wife and I - I had the full English breakfast the wife had Quiche - served very quickly, the food was delicious would definitely recommend and revisit- sat outside as it was a lovely autumnal day - parked the car 100m up the road in the free car park
Sorry for the short sharp sentences I was distracted whilst writing this review but don’t worry about that just get yourself down and grab some decent food and drinks
