The Spread Eagle

Called in on Saturday. Had Fish & chips, the wife had pie, nothing fancy. The food & service was great. No complaints here & not expensive. Will call in again.

The Old Green Dragon

Interesting changes made to this place since I lived in Oxton. It was a necessary upgrade, however, the Ale on offer is a little diverse and not particularly well kept on my visit.
Didn't eat so can't comment on the food.

Old Coach House

Lamb shank was fabulous. Would be better if customer could be told in advance how long the food was going to take to prepare. Understand that food is freshly made that’s probably why, but considering this is next to an airport some perhaps would just like quick pub food that they don’t have to wait 30-45 minutes for. Otherwise great stuff.

Alfresco Caffe

Lovely lunch on a Monday, most of the cafés were closed. I had a super chicken and avocado salad, very fresh and tasty. Think it was illy coffee which was good.
Attentive and friendly staff too.

guy in there was absolutely lovely and super helpful! he made a little selection bag of vegan sweets and had a massive vegan range in the store! always lovely to talk to someone who really knows the stuff in their own shop! would recommend 1000%

The Red Lion at Thurgarton

Lovely welcoming atmosphere, staff very friendly and the quality of food was outstanding, wine choice was brilliant too, one suggestion would be a better choice of ales. But can’t wait to return

The Final Whistle

I've been here for the comedy nights and they're absolutely fantastic. Superb acts and a skilled compere. I doubt you can get as much fun for twice the cost of a ticket.

The birds bakery in queen street southwell notts is the very best went in today instead of the one in newark.the two mature lady behind counter gave service with a smile.a real welcome when you get to the counter. ?

Ye Olde Bridge Inn

Booked here for a family lunch - 6 adults and 5 children - at short notice. A great venue, loads of outdoor space and very child-friendly; with lovely, helpful, attentive staff. Our table was in a very pleasant area.... And the food was good, too. We were impressed and would definitely recommend.

Scoozi Pizzeria

Excellent first experience! I wasn't sure what to order as it was my first time, but the staff were so helpful and polite, they even brought me ketchup without me asking. The pepperoni pizza and chips were delicious, and the portions are absolutely massive for such a cheap price. I’m so full I can barely move! Best pizza ever, highly recommend.

Recently moved to the area and ordered for delivery. Very polite driver and food is exceptional! It’s that good we’ve had 3 delivery’s and every one has been amazing. Looking forward to dining in soon.

Hearty Goodfellow

Excellent table service. Halloumi burger was sensational and with chips and coleslaw was good value at £12.95. Dog-friendly pub. My partner had a veggie lasagne small plate option for just £8.95. Great atmosphere at the pub. Plenty of parking.

The Reindeer Inn

Stayed with my lady for the night and warmly greeted. Room was spot on with a comfy bed. The pub has a very local and welcoming feel to the place with nice beers. The local people are very friendly. Will definitely stay again next time we are up that way fishing on the trent again. Perhaps the people leaving revues moaning about noise need to realise ITS A PUB ffs. Maybe go down and sample a few yourselfs let yourself go abit?.

Shahi Kebabs

Wow, first time tonight having a donor kebab in Pershwari Nan.

The taste is incredible.

The donor meat really goes nicely with it and adds that extra bit of flavour.

Would order one every time.

Bamboo Garden

We ordered a takeaway by the telephone and the customer service we recieved on Saturday the 17th of Jan was excellent. The food was ready in a timely manner and it was still hot when we got home.

I have marked the food down one star because the batter and sauce on our crispy chilli beef let yourself down to be fair. The sauce was very thick and the batter was a bit soggy, not crispy at all. However, the crispy prawn balls were very crispy. I would order from here again, but I wouldn't be ordering the crispy shredded chilli beef in the future. The vermicelli, chicken fried rice and curry sauce was beautiful.

Gossips Coffee House

3rd visit here. Previous visits were 5 star but this time just let it down a little.
The mac & cheese was very tasty I'm told. However, my blt wasn't quite up to the mark. Placed onto salad, the bottom layer of toast had gone soggy.
The salad itself had no dressing at all on either plate, so it was really dry and hard to eat.
Will call in again hoping its just a one off blip as the waiting staff are great

The Saracens Head Hotel & Restaurant

We came here on Boxing Day and had a very enjoyable family meal for 12 people. Charlie was very welcoming and helpful. We did not stay the night so I cannot comment on the rooms, but the restaurant and bar were perfect.

Admiral Rodney Southwell

Food was absolutely fantastic, and the bar staff are amazing. I urge everyone to come and visit. The regulars are excellent people. There is a charming young bartender with lovely brown hair and roughly 6 foot 3 inches tall. He will greet you with a smile every time. I recommend Nobby’s nuts

The Refectory

The Refectory is always popular but we came on a Tuesday and got a table straight away without having to wait, however sometimes you may have to wait if they're busy which is only to be expected. We had Cheddar & Bacon toastie with Soup of the Day.
Highly recommended!
