Lovely warm welcome from jaqui and the red hart staff. Great atmosphere excellent food. Amazing prices of meals you will not leave feeling hungry. Mixed grill with the garlic sauce was the best meal I've had out in a very long time. Will be returning very soon, I highly recommend the red hart 10 out 10. Thank you ?

Absolutely delighted that our local pub is now under new management and really starting to take off again. We went for a carvery today and I can honestly say it’s the tastiest I’ve ever had! A proper home cooked Sunday roast….delicious!! The meat was beautifully cooked and the veg was all tasty with a bit of bite left in it (no hint of soggy sprouts!). The welcome we received was warm, friendly and genuine. The service was faultless. Well done to all concerned it’s great to have our pub back in the hands of people who care and a chef who knows that excellent home cooked food is as important as the welcome. Highly recommend

Where to begin, we went out as a family to honour my mums memory who we were burying the next day this pub was where mum often went for lunch with her friends and really enjoyed it. Last night though everything was totally shambolic, we had booked for a party of 11, when we arrived all went well, waitress came and took our drinks order, then came back to take our food order. We ordered starters to share, then various different meals, the waitress went round each of us and took our orders. She then came back to say there was no sausage left for one of our orders so we changed that to another meal. That was the last we saw of her as she left the pub shortly afterwards. After waiting an hour we went to enquire where our food was, to be told it was on the way, then the lady who we presumed to be the landlady came and said ‘I’m sorry but we didn’t see the order for the starters, do you want them with your mains? We said we would just go with the manis. When the mains arrived one order was totally wrong another was a meal we hadn’t ordered, she the said ‘we’ve run out of steak pies do you want chicken and leek, we agreed to this. After another wait with half of us eating and the other half waiting for the pies, the pies arrived, they were awful completely inedible, my sisters meal was still frozen in the middle and my daughters looked disgusting. Almost like they had put left over bits of meat in a tin and covered it with something resembling pastry but looked like raw dough. We sent these back to the kitchen. Then the chef came out and said quite beligerently ‘I can only cook what was on the order’ then walked away before we could reply. By this time I was in tears because of the reason we where there. Surely the cook is responsible for the quality of the food delivered to the table. The landlady to be fair couldn’t apologise enough but kept blaming the young waitress who had taken the order. Surely blame is laid at the managements door and the chef. The landlady didn’t charge us for the pies and everything else at half price. Needless to say we won’t be returning any time soon

Staff outside smoking by the back doors with customers (very unprofessional) staff was not washing their hands after being outside, very unhygienic, above the bar was an array of dirty glasses covered in flies, the decor is very run down and stained furniture. Was going to order food but what I’ve described so far out me off, definitely will not be returning.
