Even though was very busy, managed to get a booking within half an hour which is surprisingly good. All staff was polite, food was good! Sat straight away and waiting less then half an hour for food. All food was splendid, I had a mix of small plates that I truly enjoyed. Only thing is could not finish desert (as was so full) but it was called an ultimate Sunday for a reason! Very recommend, traditional pub, with some super modern foods. Definitely go again!

This was a midday meal. Full carvery, fantastic and only cost just over £6.00.\\nWhere else can you get this?\\nGreat staff. Nice and clean. Staff clean table and menus after being used. Staff always come and ask, is everything ok.\\nToilets very clean. You can't be to careful theses days. Good size car park.\\nDon't worry they have other meals on their menu besides carvery. Visit and tell me what you think.

Went for a meal but was only doing a carvery. We only had a coffee as it was new years eve and we didn't fancy a dinner as we were having one on new-years day. Coffee was lovely and so was the service

We regularly have a carvery here both eating in and as a takeaway. It is consistently delicious! Not cordon blue just good plain cooking and great value for money. Living very close by it is way too easy, just order on the app and either turn up to eat in or takeaway. Love it.

Been here a few times for the carvery, \\u0026 the last visit was for food off the menu which overall is good, not perfect, but acceptable.\\nThe staff are friendly \\u0026 helpful. The prices are reasonable.\\nWe will return for the carvery, when in the area

Great pub. Visited Newark for the day and stopped here for a meal. Staff were sooo friendly and helpful. Great value...excellent carvery. Will know where to eat next time we're visiting Newark...handy being just close to the A46 ready for our homeward journey

Easy to get to. Really friendly place with excellent staff, the new quiz on Fridays is great! I haven't tried the food but it smells nice. They also have a carvery.

A friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Nice decor and plenty of comfy seating. Child friendly (high chairs available) with crayons and colouring paper available to keep em quiet whilst you're waiting for food. Speaking of food the carvery is really nice and fairly priced with a number of other dishes (typical pub fayre) available. We ordered a carvery and a mixed grill, a few minutes before they brought the mixed grill out they let us know it was coming.... So we could time getting the carvery and ensure we weren't waiting for either meal. A nice touch and much appreciated. My only gripe is that the carpark whilst quite sizeable isn't particularly well lit.

Fabulous idea to introduce the carvery very popular as 3 sized meals available small dinner plate £4.99 large dinner plate £6.99 and oval platter tray £8.99 with an option of extra Yorkshire puds and pigs in blankets for an extra £1 this way you have as much of what you want nothing you don't want and pay for just what you have not set menu where your too full to eat all paid for.Children's portions too and full menu includes 3 meats usually turkey, gammon and beef. To help meat stay moist pork and lamb avoided. Loads of veg to choose or participate in fully have a little of all or as you feel gravy and sauces added if you choose. Works well whole family all generations catered for well whatever the appetite brilliant and staff friendly too.

Very popular and by Sunday 6pm not much meat is left. Usually pork, beef + 1 other - gammon or chicken/turkey. Not seen any lamb which would be great. There is a good selection of vegetables and potatoes, plenty of gravy and apple/cranberry sauce etc. Can also add extra Yorkshire pudding and bacon wrapped sausage for a small extra charge.

Great food, friendly staff. Even though it's extremely busy, staff have done a great job at cleaning and turning tables around. 10/10 today folks be proud! We had steak and ale pie followed by chocolate fudge cake with ice and sticky toffee pud with custard. BEAUTIFUL!
