The main couses were lovely. Waiting staff were all v pleasant but not great knowledge.. Didnt know what nam pla sauce was on request for it. Just a bit of training would sort that.Only negative thats an easy fix, it was very cheeky to charge £3.75 for 10 awful quality very chinese prawn crackers and splash of sweet chilli sauce. In a thai restaurant for that price id expect nice quality thai prawn crackers which have so much more flavour. Otherwise the food was a good four star rating.

Served quickly but I walked in at 6ish on a Saturday night so not sure if that's their busy period.Wasn't sure where to wait for the food so just stood at the back of the room. Doesn't seem to be any queue structure.Vegan kebab was very filling. Lots of kebab meat but not much salad. Lovely decor & surroundings . The food was tasty, hot & well presented , wasn't quite perfect enough for 5 stars (the chicken wings starter although tasty, were actually sweet chilli and not salt n pepper, left fingers very sticky and no water bowl provided ) but I would still recommend the food and visit again . The service however was slow especially with drinks. No offer of water for the table and had to be asked twice before it came . Nice menu and lovely atmosphere. Overall 4/5

After I was diagnosed with Celiacs disease earlier this year I though my days of enjoying fish and chips were over. However I discovered A1,and now can enjoy them along with everyone else. Their gluten free fish and chips are very good indeed. In fact they taste as good as their normal fish and chips. I'd honestly be unable to tell the difernce in a blind test. Whilst browsing their menu I saw kebabs on naan. Not found a place round here that does naans. So opted for the mixed grill kebab. Meats were cooked on a griddle/charcoal base so really nice and charred taste donner meat was plain salad was seperate. Not a fan of salad . Chilli sauce wasn't anything special and the naan was 2 wraps . So its a build your own kebab , hate that . Cost £15.99 . Will try pizzas next

I visited this restaurant last Saturday and honestly exceeded my expectations in a positive manner! Being centred in the heart of Newark-on-Trent, I was honestly expecting nothing more than an average Indian-themed restaurant on a rainy evening. However, the ambient atmosphere and amazing staff proved otherwise. First and foremost, the food was a traditional delicacy, I could tell that it was made in the traditional way (which is its unique selling point), and the quality was good overall. The food arrived in around 20-30 minutes so there really wasn't a long wait (however there weren't many people at that time since we came quire early so that may be a contributing factor). I'd personally recommend their meal for two, since it provides you with a variety of Indian dishes (Along with the naans!) for a relatively low price. The staff were polite and attended to our needs, which is the basis of a good-quality restaurant. However, one of the core areas for improvement would be to improve the toiletry facilities, for it appears to be quite run down and un-catered for in certain aspects. In addition, the staff were relatively stressed and tired (with it being Saturday night), which may have resulted in a slightly burnt naan, and due to there not being any others present towards the start of our dining, the restaurant was relatively desolate and quiet, resulting in all of the staff staring at our table as we communicated. However, in conclusion, this is certainly the best Indian restaurant in Newark-on-Trent and I'd highly reccomend dining there if you haven't already! Would certainly reccomend to my friends! ? 4/5

Currently working in ollerton and tried seacrest because it looked busy (good sign that it might be good). So i popped in and first time ordered kebab and chips off the lunch menu, the kebab meat was lovely and tender and chips was amazing. Second time I visited I had the mini fish special with peas. Honestly one of the best chip shops I’ve been to for a while, fish was great as was the chips and peas. I will be putting on some serious calories whilst I’m working near this place

We recently visited the tearoom on the way to Center Parcs and from the moment we stepped inside, the service was absolutely fantastic. We had our two children with us, and our baby was not in a good mood! The gents that were serving us couldn't have been more helpful. They went over and above to try and keep my wife's lunch warm whilst she settled the baby and made us all feel very much at home. We'll definitely visit again and would recommend it to anyone. What an amazing venue! We got married here in October 2023- and we can't fault Danielle and her team even if we tried! From when we first booked the venue till on the day Danielle was there to support us with every step and gave us such comfort that we were going to have the best day and it well and truly was! Everyone loved the food and we even went to a tasting evening before to be sure we liked what we chose on the day and the venue was even open to comments on the food just to be sure everything was how we liked it. The best day ever and if you book here you won't regret it!

The Willow Tree

We stayed overnight in our motorhome on a Sunday night. We were given a warm welcome by Sarah while parking in the carpark. We spent the evening in the pub. We had very nice beef sandwiches. Unfortunately we arrived too late for Sunday roast. Participated in the quiz with the very friendly locals. Fabulous experience. Sarah and Matt are very warm and welcoming people. I would thougherly recommend this lovely village pub to everyone, especially motorhomers

Christmas Day lunch with family. A very warm & festive welcome from all the staff, & complimentary Prosecco on our table. Our starters were tasty, especially the herby beetroot & cheese terrine with Melba toast! The main courses (turkey roulade & 1 of us had sea bass) were generous, as were the separately served vegetables-all cooked just as we like. The cinnamon & apple crème brûlée tempted us from the other dessert choices of poached pears or Christmas pudding, but did not disappoint! All in all the waiting & kitchen staff provided a brilliant Christmas lunch experience. Many thanks to them all ?

The White Swan

Received a lovely friendly welcome. The food served was very tasty, home cooked & hot. Very much Enjoyed the rump steak with a side order of peppercorn sauce. The steak was served with crispy onion rings & fabulous home cooked chunky chips & peas. Would recommend & will definitely return. Good value home cooked food in a great venue.
