Have to say really not impressed with this place. Very expensive for very basic food. Our food came out cold twice!!!!!!I would not recommend.

We had the beefeater combo, salmon, prawn something, and pizza with 2 extras for the toddler who was with us. Well. For a start they brought all the food except the child's. Kind of standard to bring his at the same if not before if there must be an order because you can't have a baby watching others eating without giving to him, which happend in our case, so by the time his food was brought, he was already full. Alternatively, we could all wait and let out food go cold :/The orders were incomplete, one of the extras and the dessert were forgotten.The salmon dish was ridiculously small for the price, and the beefeater combo was smaller than expected for the price paid. We practically came home hungry even after finishing the pizza of the baby as he was full by the time it was given to him.. we won't return.The quality of the food was very good, and the olace was child friendly.

We have had many meals in the Beefeater Roman Way Newark and have been very satisfied with both the quality food and service. However this year 25th December 2023 has been a very disappointing exception, after initially being seated we were ignored and I had to summon a waiter who happened to be near to place our order which had already been preordained via their Christmas Order Form.After each course was served we had to wait and wait, for example after the starter course it was half an hour before the plates were cleared and a further extended wait before the main course was served this was again after I had to summon a waiter. The main course when it eventually arrived was at best just warm indicating to me that it had been sat on the warming plate for some time before eventually reaching us. The same can be said for the desert course at least my apple pie was hot when it arrived my wife's desert was a Nickabocca glory so heat was not an issue what was the issue was the time both took to arrive and again only after I had to summon a waiter.The service and the quality of the food throughly ruined our Christmas Dinner I find this hard to understand and except, personally if I was the manager I would be appalled at what had happened.I and my wife are throughly and absolutely disgusted and disappointed by what you provided or I should say did not provided.Parking: Within short walking distance

The food is what is to be expected from a chain restaurant, average but the price reflects this. I would say that the food is over priced for the quality and portion size,I had to ask for more chips with my meal, and also more coleslaw as both were to small of a portionService from the staff was lacking a waited on service expected at a restaurant,I got my own condiments as we weren’t asked if we would like anyParking: Plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant
Called for the festive menu, was a little disappointed that there was no turkey on. We had the sirloin and very pleased we did. Delicious mmmm then profiteroles and hubby had mint Sunday. Wow couldn't eat any more thankyou. Staff very friendly and courteous will definitely come back to Roman Way Newark. Merry Christmas to you all ?

Me and my partner stopped for lunch on way home, haven’t eaten in here for many years I have got to say the food that we ate was lovely, but the service really let it down.- seated us to a table straight away and ordered drinks straight away- we then waited 10mins as lady was very busy took our order at the time she also brought us our drinks and apologised for the wait.- main meal came out 15mins after ordering which was fantasticWe then waited 40 mins for desert and plates to be taken away a asked the waitress she said she just check how long it will be and then a man came over and said did you order to apple Betty I said no he said oh what was it then we don’t have that order we ordered everything at the beginning as it set menu I said we do not want to wait any longer if it hasn’t been started he grunted I’ll get the bill brought it back and said to pay at the till. No apology which was upsetting after a great main. Also we ordered refill drink unable to refill when needed as it took so long for them to collect plates. All in all very disappointing.

The 1 star is due to the parking on site, where we have received a £100 parking fine, even though we put our vehicle's registration in the provided tablet. Not worth the hassle.Parking: Even though parking is meant to be free for users of beefeater and you enter your registration into a tablet, they have chosen to still fine us £100 in spite of this.

The staff were extremely pleasant, very friendly and helpful.The food was spot on too. Didnt have to wait more than 15 minutes for our meals. We had the 3 cooked steaks and requested them rare and honestly, they were cooked perfectly!Hats off to the team!Parking: Enter your reg when entering the pub and get free parking for 3 hours!
