I rarely eat fries but just fancied some today at Trowell services after a visit to Yorkshire. I should have realised all was not well because there was a crowd of bored looking people hanging aroud the Burger King stand. You have to poke at a screen to place your order which is not my idea of fun but I perservered. On the screen after you have placed your order a number appears which you have to use to collect your order. My attention was distracted by some people nearby and I missed the number and had to guess at it. I then realized other people had a receipt but the machine did not give me a reciept. Eventually I worked out that it could be stuck in the machine and after investigation I realised that my receipt was stuck inside the machine along with several other receipts. The whole process was a nightmare. I waited ages for my order because there was not enough staff to process the orders. This was a miserable experience which I shall not repeat. On the bright side the fries were hot and tasty when they arrived but I am never going to do this again it was an absolute pain.

Overpriced for what it is. Ordered and had to wait for 30 minutes just to get the wrong burger. Perhaps the only good thing about my meal was that I wasn’t given any bacon. The food was cold, burger overcooked and dry. The staff were nice and apologetic about the wait but clearly didn’t want to be there as well as lethargic and clueless about what they had to do. The food was expensive but had no value. Overall this was a terrible experience with the only redeeming factors being the customer service and the fact that we never had to come back.

It's a nice place to spend some time, good atmosphere. Food is okay, pretty standard menu. Service was okay Nice place, friendly staff

Cold coffee Warn burger stale bread Taste less meal Very disappointed no receipt given And server having to take orders from a flashing monitor. Quit a contrast to our last meal a couple of days ago!

Went 9.45 and told closed, 5 mins later serving a group of lads with burgers. Two girls behind counter clueless with customer service

Poor service rubbish whopper burger from Burger King. Undercooked, dry burger with no sauce or flavour. Definitely not usual Burger King. Complained but not a right response . Burger King has definitely gone down, never again.

Two of the four kiosks didn't work, incredibly slow service it was painful, staff just chatting in the back.\\nNo receipt given at the kiosk that was working, no coke available. Waited 20 mins for food. Sat down at the (dirty) table and fries were missing, went to ask for fries got attitude and handed over some fries that were cold. Food quality is sub par. Won't be returning.

Southbound - I waited 20 minutes for a double cheeseburger and chips and when it was finally ready it was all stone cold! How?????Oh and the printers don't work so I couldn't get a receipt.

Burger King is one of our favourite burger restaurants. The Angus Steakhouse burger was exceptional, but the overall experience was disappointing and we award three-stars.There is no doubt that countrywide, Burger King can deliver very high quality fast food in comparison to other brands. However, Burger King outlets at motorway services can be variable and on this occasion, it turned out be be exactly that.Whilst the Angus was excellent, service was slow, as two out of the four automated touchscreen self-service sales-points were out of order. Also there were no Whoppers to be seen on the digital menu. That seemed very strange, so we had to ask over the counter as we thought there was a problem with the touchscreen. It turned out, they had run out of a key ingredient.So just three-stars awarded for this visit from our reviewer. We were highly impressed with the freshness, presentation and taste of the Angus, but two stars were lost for service and product range on the menu.

Slow service and unorganised disinterested staff. 25 mins for them to serve me a crispy chicken meal at 9pm with no queue. Sandwich was sat on the hot plate for 20mins while staff spent the whole time cleaning instead of serving customers.

Rubish. Cant read. That was the 3rd attempt at a double whopper! Only took an hour to get 'fast' food! 1st complained about the first burger. That was literally just a bun and patty. Said they would re make it. Waited for 10 minutes. Asked what was going on and they hadn't even started making the correct one.
