It was lovely but I was surprised at the price!

The staff were really kind and lovely.I had the mac and cheese and it was so delicious, I just wish the portion was bigger, it was quite small. The lemon tart for dessert was a bit of a let down. Didn’t really taste of much and could tell it was store bought. The desserts of my family looked delicious though!!Overall, the main meals were delicious, just would have loved more!! And maybe less garlic bread instead, just adjust the proportions a bit.

Both staff that served us lunch were friendly and professional. They checked we were happy with everything and were attentive to our needs making it an enjoyable experience. Great job.

Pub and staff were pleasant, but service was slow, and empty glass were left on table, after staff had delivered food.Nice staff poor service

We have been visiting Gamston Lock for about a month now.We find the atmosphere pleasant and the staff unusually polite and friendly. They seem to go out of their way to render the visit pleasant. The food has been delicious all throughout our visits. The Discounts also have been encouraging and there was no cutting corners even during this discount period. The only thing I would comment on is the length of time one is left waiting at the check in table on arrival, otherwise everything else is fine.

Friendly and welcoming staff from start to finish and very accommodating as our number increased from the original table booking. We all had Sunday roast which was great - tasty and nice and hot. Good value. Only downside is the restaurant area feels a little grubby, the seats are rather stained and worn and table sticky. Shame as food and service was good.Wheelchair accessibility: Quite accessible.

Can not fault this place, perfect location with buses constantly running into the city,The staff were all lovely, friendly & willing to help with anything, accomodation was clean and tidy, ensuites, place to store your clothing, hang your coats, full length mirror, tea & coffee facilities, tv on the wall, comfortable bed. I have stayed here many times when visiting family & we will not stay anywhere else.

Very friendly staff and great food. Portion sizes possibly a bit too big! We were too full for desserts, so great value for mains.

Great service from staff. Disappointed with vegan menu - you couldn’t guarantee that burgers had not been cooked with meat products. That left 1 choice of a vegan curry. I wanted my whole family to enjoy but felt like we were let down as 2 of our party had such poor choice.

The starter was over cooked it was the camembert we hadn't finished it when she came to collect it my granddaughter got her main course 10 minutes before we got our main course then we were presented with the bill and know one came to collect it .it's a good job that we are honest we went to the bar and payed the bill but we could of quite easily walked out to say it was our first experience it wasn't good

Staff were friendly.. especially Abby who served us... food was tasty. Service was a little disjointed but as we weren't in a rush it wasn't a problem. Was a bit disappointed not being able to have a nice coffee after our meal, coffee machine broken... not good really. Over all happy experience.

I had booked a party of 4 in the restaurant side of the pub. They were short staffed so everyone was seated in the bar area. The service was slow and we were not asked if we required additional drinks.Parking: Plenty of free parking
