We always go here for Christmas dinner with family , lovely atmosphere, affordable foods , great service . Place is clean and well maintained. We had carvery , amazing as always . We had a nice big room enough for 12 pple .Family friendly restaurant . I would recommended.Parking: Parking at the side of restaurant , plenty of parking available, free

Good value for money but poor service snd waited a long time to pay. Also the wrong meal was served to us, luckily my partner does eat fish but myself and my child are vegetarian and I wouldn't have been as understandingVegetarian options: Unfortunately a fish dish was given out, this is very careless, although it was knocked off the bill, this was a waste of food and could have been more serious for allergies , or if the dish was given to myself- vegetarian for 35years!

I don’t know where to start. We booked a festive menu for Boxing Day and we was totally disappointed. The table with filthy and there was nothing festive about it…. The starters was winter vegetable soup was plain and mild. My mum had the prawn cocktail what was okay. The carvery was okay but the lump of turkey I got was so dry and looked it so I had to ask to change it. (What is not like me to do) he got very funny with me and it wasn’t even manic. Desert was nice. No music in there and staff was some what happy.

Came for boxing day breakfast. Food was delicious! We had to request scrambled eggs but they were freshly cooked. Very happy. Will absolutely come and eat here again.

We were seated in a small room which then had a big family gathering going on , we felt uncomfortable, like we were in the way .. we spoke to the family and they had requested room for a wheelchair but it was tight and awkward for everyone . And the restaurant wasnt even that busy .. the door wall should be taken down so its included in the rest of the restaurant. . But alittle private for a big get together, it's very claustrophobic .. bit the food was yummy , service was good

This was first visit for a while, and the food has got worse. The meat was Turkey and Beef today and I wanted beef but took turkey as the beef was severely over cooked to the point it was black I mentioned this and the server said it had been under hot plate and got dry how it could get charcoaled I am only aware of overcooking. Parsnips and roasts were exactly the same. The Yorkshire puddings were flat and soggy I did notice as we had finished they had gone back to usual standard. The mash and stuffing was not great either but the veg was ok otherwise we had the festive meal and although our preferred option was unavailable the Xmas pudding was good..Service was slow but when you got it was good and they were not the issue but the staffing levels were they were severely overworked both on the bar and in the restaurant.Parking: Plenty of parking spaces but it was about 1.45 when arrived but all the disable spaces unavailable

My last visit to a Toby Carvery was about twenty years ago because where we live now there isn't one for miles. Visiting my son in Nottingham we were looking for somewhere to get a quick meal, he suggested the local Harvester but they have gone downhill recently so we decided on Toby carvery.Managed to park easily and it was quite quiet when we arrived, it was late Sunday afternoon so that was a bit of a concern but we were served quickly and headed off for the food. The food looked fresh, was hot and the meat portions were ample, all in it was a very tasty meal with good service and the price was a bargain as well, we will be going again.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetables available and vegan as well.Parking: Ample parking with disabled spaces outside the door.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat approach, easy access.

Ate here yesterday and was very disappointed, not only was the food underwhelming, but the staff were extremely rude. We were greeted by who we assumed was the manager who told us to go wait in the waiting area and then when we were seated, told us we were lucky to even get a table as they don't take 12's (even though it let us do this online), from the start she was unwelcoming. I understand that large groups can be difficult but we weren't any trouble. One of the waitresses was taking our drinks order and we showed her various offers we had for free drinks etc, when it came to pay at the end they weren't working and she said she didn't know why it wasn't working and rather rudely told us we could talk to someone higher up if we wanted to. She had misinformed one of my friends about which drink she could get in the offer and consequently she had to pay for it (several members of staff were trying to get the codes to work at this point). I understand there can be technical difficulties sometimes, but I don't think it's fair that the staff can tell you one thing, and then something else when it's time to pay. Safe to say we won't be returning.

Took my grandson here for an 'after school' meetup. Made very welcome, lovely christmasy atmosphere, not too busy. Felt very clean and we'll managed. Great Carvery, fabulous veggie options. Plenty of meat for my grandson. Great value, easy parking.

Just eaten at this pub. As soon as we came in, it wasn’t welcoming at all. All staff (except one lady) have been extremely rude all night. I booked as a group of 12 table and we were told we were ‘lucky to even get in’ which didn’t make us feel welcome at all. The food was of poor quality, the meat was extremely fatty with the beef being inedible it was that fatty. The chef himself wasn’t welcoming or friendly at all either when serving us our meat. Would not come back to this pub for a carvery, they will not welcome you with a smile and almost make you feel rushed to leave.
Awful service.The staff actively showed disdain towards us for no reason. Being unnecessarily rude when asked for simple things such as cutlery (we booked a table and when we arrived there was only 2 sets of cutlery, the booking was for four people) and one of us ordered a coke and we didn’t receive it and when we told them the waitress replied with “i swear i brought you that” in a rude manner. Every worker was rude and the food was cold and overall not nice. DO NOT go here it is awful.

Came on a sunday a few weeks ago. Food was good but pub and service fell short. No salt/pepper pots on tables (waitress couldn’t find one for us either). Queued for 30 mins for carvery. No sign of any senior member of staff. Staff were very stressed. Signs up everywhere running a competition for 5 star reviews and I can see why. Fix the service snd standards and then you won’t need to bribe people for positive reviews :(

Went on a Wednesday evening at 6pm.Food was very dry!Waited 50 mins for 3 empty glasses (for refillable drinks) and an extra 10 mins on top for a pint..had actually almost eaten our carvery.This was after asking multiple times. Felt sorry for the poor waitress, she kept apologising but was unable to poor the pint herself because she was under 18.Very understaffedWould rather go to Riverside farm carvery

Wow, we haven't been here for years but hasn't it gone downhill! Food bland and lukewarm. Cold and dirty feeling plates. Sauces all empty and gravy too. It was pretty empty when we arrived and we were told we might not be allowed in because we hadn't booked. Probably would have done us a favour! Staff were OK but didn't look very happy. Sorry, cheap and cheerful springs to mind (without the cheer)! We won't be returning. Rather have had a Chinese takeaway!

Well , its been a long time since we visited, and to be honest will be a while again.Went at 18:00 hrs only to be informed might not be taking walking ins( really )Food bland and at best tepid , plates seemed gritty and cold . No sauces or gravy on offer.The meat on offer was not as plentiful as in years gone by. I think They need to go back to basics here as its used to be really good at some point.sorry guys disapointed
