Took my dad here and he had a diabetic seizure, the staff were so slow and unfazed by what was happening, I asked for a glass of orange to get his sugars back up so they gave me half a glass full and charged us for a full glass of orange juice! Not one person asked if he was ok after this all happened, unbelievable really. We did complain but was told “we will look after you next time you come in for a meal” we were regulars but NO THANKS! *****Reply**** I haven’t said it was over the festive period? and the staff were well aware of this at the time it happened! Awful reply from you, trying to deny this over a review is even worse.

Visited in Feb 2020, the service was great but the food was average at best and tasted reheated. I wanted to give the place another go because of the hype so we visited last night but unfortunately, it was much of the same. The food was average, quite bland and needed a fair bit of salt to be added. Have had better at a chain pub! The cocktails didn’t taste like there was much alcohol in them at all, and it took 25 minutes for our final drink to arrive. Front of house were about to let us walk out before we reminded them that we still had to pay. There is nothing “wrong” with world service, but I don’t understand the hype and it just isn’t worth the money. If I want average food, I’ll go to a chain pub. If I want fine dining, I’ll go to Sat Bains (granted a different experience, but worth paying for).

We went to World Service for our anniversary, and had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were excellent, and the service was impeccable. Sarah and the supervisor (we didn't catch her name unfortunately) were brilliant in particular. They indulged us on our questions about the venue and really made us feel welcome. The food was great, even the bread and butter were lovely and clearly crafted with care and attention. Throughout our meal, the service was attentive without being obtrusive, and everyone was polite and courteous. We were very well looked after and will 100% be back to try out the menu as it changes. Worth every penny.

We've been to World Service in Nottingham a few times, so when we had friends visiting, we were happy they chose there!Lovely attentive service if you're going for a special night out, plus the menu can cater for many different diets.Really special venue that carefully blends modern dining with 17th century settings. You can see why it's award winning!

After some amazing meals at World Service today was disappointing. No attention to detail. Garlic butter given to someone with a garlic allergy, a main course that was cold and one of the desserts that had an element that had accidently had salt not sugar added- clearly not checked by the chef. Not what should be expected from such a high end restaurant. One positive, the waitress service couldn't be faulted, just a shame others were not up to the standard expected.

This was our first visit to World Service and certainly won't be our last. Right from the moment you step through the door you are greeted warmly by the amazing staff and either shown to your table or offered the opportunity to have a drink in the lovely lounge area. We had Sunday lunch and had 3 courses all of which were beautifully presented and tasted even better! The beef in particular was absolutely gorgeous and melt in the mouth and anyone who can make me enjoy cabbage deserves a medal! We absolutely loved our experience at this beautiful restaurant and will definitely be back soon thank you!

We went to celebrate my birthday, both the service and food were excellent. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a drink by the fire before being seated to eat. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. A lovely sparkling English wine went perfectly with our meal and I had an unexpected treat at the end as I mentioned it was my birthday! Thanks for a splendid lunch.
