Main St, Ollerton, NewarkWhat a place, staff were very attentive and welcoming, great with children. The atmosphere felt like you was at home, gutted we live in London because the food was divine, best Italian I've eaten. Cheese garlic bread and tomato and chilli bread is a must, pizza was cooked well and full of flavour. Lasagne layer after layer of pasta, and the penne Arrabbiata beautifully cooked. Thank you ? will be back next time we come, you are saved on our maps ??

The Forest Lodge Hotel
Church St, Edwinstowe, MansfieldWe stayed for two nights last week and cannot fault their rooms and service. The breakfast menu is a real treat. Everything is freshly cooked and prepared. A friendly bar and wonderful staff. Dawn looked after us and was great. A fine place to stay in a beautiful village. Thank you all.

The Cafe in Sherwood Forest
8 Sherwood Forest Art & Craft Centre, Forest Cor, Edwinstowe, MansfieldWe visit this cafe on a regular basis and the food is always delicious. The service is also good and despite being very busy at times it is a nice peaceful place to eat. I would have given 5 stars but one member of staff is so rude. We have experienced it ourselves before, having dared to ask for more salt and recently witnessed her having a stand up row with a gentleman which was uncomfortable for those witnessing it and definitely unprofessional. The young lady who served us today however couldn’t have been more helpful, as are all of the other staff

The Bay Tree
THORESBY PARK, The Courtyard, NewarkWe had a delicious afternoon tea on Wed 20 August even though we only phoned for a booking the afternoon before.
The tasty country style sandwiches, brie & cranberry, thick smoked salmon, thick ham & tomato & pastrami with horseradish were all served with a selection of green leaves.
The slices of sponge cake were huge & they & the chocolate brownies with smarties were delicious. Two scones, plenty of jam & cream all served with hot chocolate, cream & a flake. It was a cool day so we sat inside & it became quieter after 2pm as very busy earlier with people enjoying their lunches. Would be great to sit in the courtyard outside on a warm sunny day.

The Big Fish
Old Rufford Rd, Ollerton, NewarkA convenient fish and chip shop next door to a Costa. The fish and chips are freshly cooked while you wait and delicious. It was nice to sit outside and eat with a nice coffee.

Saville Roundabout, Old Rufford Rd, Ollerton, NewarkA lovely individual on the drive-through intercom/window who deserves some recognition for delightfully service. Sadly didn’t check for their name but ordered 21:10pm today for reference. Food/service was 10/10
