I pulled into the services towing a caravan with a towing length of +40ft to get a sandwich and a drink. There was no parking for a vehicle of this length so i parked at one of the 4 free HGV pumps only to be told by an unhelpful and rude staff member to move my vehicle as they might need the pump in a rush. Needless to say i left and went elsewhere. Shell might hold the monopoly of the business on services but behaviour like this I will try and use another fuel supplier.

Just off the a1 not a bad place to go it isonly a shell garage but they have toilets food drinks I have been going for years

Petrol stations are petrol stations - most of us want to top up and go, perhaps pick up a snack. This particular Shell station covers the basics, but it's clean, tidy and has Shell's "pay at pump" feature, so with the right app on your smartphone, stopping can be quicker. Staff were also friendly, too.
