I booked into this hotel on behalf of my employer, expecting a comfy night before a hard day of work.Unfortunately this was not the case. The room was cold and the radiators were not on, neither did I have the ability to change the room temperature. The shower/bath water came out barely luke warm which was rather uncomfortable. The general aesthetics of the interior are not great with large marks on the walls, paint splatter on the skirting boards. There were also sweet wrappers and lots of dust under the bed. The walls seem paper thin so much so you can hear next doors conversations.I can't speak for the Indian restaurant that has the same owners, however the pub lunch wasn't something I rated, thinly sliced school dinner styled beef, undercooked vegetables. The best but was the Yorkshire pudding and even that was dry.Personally, I wouldn't recommend this place, neither would I ever return on my own accord. I think with some very basic TLC on the hotel side of things, a lick of paint, some plumbing or new furnishings would go a long way. At the moment, it feels like a hostel or a halfway house.I hope the owners take this review constructively.

The best Indian in Retford. Great staff and a great location. Lots of parking and a great outdoor area.It’s a regular for our works dinners as well as family time.You won’t be disapointed.

Good hotel with good management and service staff. The Indian restaurant was good with variety of dishes. Dining and bar section are amazing. Hotel have good parking area and outer space that can spent valuable time with family.

Fabulous owner. She couldn't so enough and single handedly cooked breakfast, answered the phone manned the desk and sorted us a ground floor room for our dog! Wow!
