We had an afternoon tea voucher to use and chose here. Glad we did, lovely afternoon tea cakes were fab and staff were friendly attentive without being intrusive. The place itself is lovely bright and welcoming. Would definitely visit again, maybe for lunch next time as the food looked good ?

Excellent afternoon tea. Had it as a takeaway & couldn’t fault it. Nice choice of sandwiches. Scones absolutely beautiful with jam & clotted cream & 3 other cakes each. All boxed up ready for collection at the arranged time. Great service & great value for money. Thanks very much for a lovely Good Friday treat. Olivia was very accommodating in my request for a takeaway & cant praise her enough ??

Went for afternoon tea. Could not fault the food but on the sweet side and ended up bringing some cake home. Service on the other hand was awful. As soon as we stepped through the door everything felt an effort for them. My mum is in a wheelchair and although they were informed well in advance the table was the furthest from the door and had to negotiate getting through a busy room. Drinks took ages to come. One small pot of jam for the four of us and when we asked for some butter to put on the scones they just brought out two pats of butter not impressed and will not be going back.

Lovely surroundings, outside area will be fabulous in summer. Tasty food at voucher price, afternoon tea, enjoyed the sandwiches, cakes and scones. Didn't have a choice as it was a voucher, delicious though. The scones looked and felt hard but they were actually superb. It was a great venue, with pleasant staff.

Went 22nd Nov with sister and her partner for afternoon tea. The sandwiches and cakes were lovely, fresh and tasty but the scones were really poor. They were thin like biscuits. What a shame as only downside of a lovely visit.

We had a voucher given to us. Afternoon tea for two. Came here today. Food wonderful. Staff very nice and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Best tea and coffee too. Had to pay for our second cup of coffee and pot of tea. However I take it that depends on how much your voucher is worth. Ours was up to £33. Will be back.

We were brought the very tatty and faded menus, and had to navigate around to find the drinks. I would really recommend that proper menus are printed for customers. We ordered hot drinks, and my cup, teapot and milk were placed on the far side of the table. I'm sure this place can do better, and we went on a bad day

We had booked afternoon tea on a groupon offer. When we arrived the male behind the bar just said sit anywhere, no politeness. He didn’t even ask to see the voucher. We sat for a while and then we’re given a plate, napkin, knife & fork. We were asked what we wanted to drink. We ordered tea & coffee. It came. There was no chat from the waitress, not even to check if we were having afternoon tea. 20 mins later the afternoon tea arrived, but we had finished our hot drinks. If we had known it was going to be so long we would have had a soft drink first. What good is afternoon tea without the tea. The sandwich’s and cake were nice. It’s a shame the staff don’t have the ability to communicate with customers. There was 1 waitress that did bother to ask if we were ok. The others stood behind the counter chatting to one another. It’s a shame as it has a lot of potential to be a place you would want to visit again.

On arrival for our prebooked afternoon tea we asked about the sandwich selection and was told cream cheese was an option not being a fan we asked if we could change this and was told yes the kitchen will make something else. When the sandwiches arrived we were greeted with 6 Ham and 2 Egg mayo triangles not even any pickle. The cake selection was very good although the scone was a little dry. When finished the lady asked if everything was OK we told her about the sandwiches to this her reply was the sandwiches are made first thing in the morning so very hard to change the fillings. So unfortunately won't be returning.

Tried to eat here once. Owner, who was brisk and looked down at us, sat me and my mum at a filthy table, after waiting noone came to clean the table. Left. Cakes often look over baked. Drenching a lemon drizzle in icing won't cover that. Have reviewed this before. Comments were ignored, no apology. Its the little things that count.

We arrived on Saturday 9 April for our mother's day afternoon tea which we had to postpone due to illness. We were welcomed in by staff who were friendly and polite and our food and drink was brought to us really quickly. There was a good selection of sandwiches, cheese and pickle, cheese and tomato, egg mayo and cream cheese with cucumber (veggie option by choice). all delicious and thrilled by the use of proper mature cheese and decent pickle. The scones are made in house and were delicious, proper clotted cream and jam. The cake selection was carrot cake, lemon drizzle and lemon crumble cheesecake. The lemon cheesecake was divine (my mother tells me the other cakes were also excellent). We couldn't manage it all so the leftovers were boxed up. Will book again, really good value for money.

Had a delicious valentines afternoon tea with pink Prosecco. Delicious afternoon tea and very attentive staff. Lovely place with nice atmosphere and quality food. Highly recommend.

What a gem of a place this is. We hadn't booked but luckily got the last free table. The ploughman's platter for one was more than I could manage and consisted of ample slices of cheese and ham with a warm crispy scotch egg, half of a mid size pork pie, warm bread, pickles chutney and salad. My wife's Bacon, Cranberry and Brie panini with the usual trimmings was also more than enough. Topped off with tea and a pint of pale ale. The only disappointment being no room left to choose from the delicious looking cakes and desserts on offer. All this coupled with a team of very attentive ladies who all made for a very pleasant visit.

We enjoyed a visit here. Atmosphere was good, staff attentive food excellent. Only downside was the choices of wine we thought they were low grade for the price. Would go again but maybe not drink wine!

We visited here yesterday for Bottomless Brunch for our friend's birthday!! All I can say is wow!! The food was amazing and service second to non!! Becky was fabulous, so lovely and made sure we never had an empty glass! Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful venue, great food choices and amazing service... what else could you wish for. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you #teamglasshouse xx
