Nice place to have a snack, clean and bright, lots of tables.Full English breakfast looked great, but was cold - a big disappointment. Even the beans in their own ramekin were cold. Food needed proper heating, and serving on warmed plates to stay hot to the table! But staff were very efficient and pleasant.

I use this cafe regularly either for coffee or a meal. Well priced and usually very well cooked food. Great for small business meets too. Then I spend a fortune in the garden centre despite my best efforts ?

Sadly - not a great experience, today. Our visit was to start off with breakfast, and then on to shopping at the Garden Centre. We arrived and told to pick a table, which we did [ one that was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations]. We informed the server of our table number and ordered our meals. Lovely breakfast.During our meal, a staff member came to our table and - curtly - told us we 'had to' move to another table [ mid-meal!] as our table was set for a Christmas meal and we shouldn't have been sitting there! She then walked away, leaving us quite astounded. We decided to finish our meal, before we moved our drinks to another adjacent table. We sat at the next table for another 15 min+ -, to note that the table we had vacated was stripped & reset - but no one was allocated to use it all the while we were sitting on the next table. We could have easily completed our meal before the table was required for the next customers.Surely, when we informed the server initially of our table selection, we should/could have been informed then, that the table we selected, was reserved for the festive occasion? Or maybe, for the future - a 'reserved sign' is put on to tables that are allocated for special reasons. [ there were many tables all with decorations on them ]And - may I suggest that your staff training includes 'simple courtesy to customers' - explaining why and with a 'please' & a smile, when dealing with customers.Maybe it was just that one staff member, who dealt with us who was 'poor', however left us with a bad experience. We wouldn't have minded if we were asked if we'd mind moving table; being 'told' that we had to - didn't go down well.

Lady making teas was in a right strop. Had a baguette that wasn't cooked properly. Needless to say we won't be visiting again.

Ordered 2 cappuccinos and 1 cheese on toast which I've ordered many times before it came to a lower price than I thought so I asked the server she said it was correct on giving me my receipt I could see only one slice of cheese on toast at £2.95 the server said I'd only asked for one I meant one portion which is 2 slices as per the menu on the menu one slice is not an option.....she said she order me another slice at another £2.95 I said no it's £4.95 for 2 slices she sighed and with an attitude said well ill have to refund it and put it through again if that's the way you want to do it .....I was embarrassed but why should I pay another pound the young lady should have asked me if I meant one slice or one portion spoilt my morning tbh and I asked for it to be well done and it wasn't the cheese still unmelted under cheese that sat on cold bread.....?

How hard is it to toast bread? Its undercooked and is more like bread and butter standards of cooking have gone downhill.

Come in today to try this cafe after it being recommended to us had two coffees which were brilliant we also ordered two chip cobs which came out as a sandwich ? my partner is pregnant and was looking forward for chips as one of her cravings so it came out and there were hardly any chip’s plus they were cold I took these back which the staff was polite and said she will exchange them when we had them second time it was like they had been microwaved quickly after like they had been sitting and quickly nuked ? need to get rid of chef mike?

Enjoyed our trip. Nice place. Potential to be excellent. Some food excellent. Great choice. Self service, order at counter.

We came here for lunch. It was not particularly busy at the time (around midday). We noticed a sign on the counter stating that they were short staffed and that there may be a wait on occasions. Probably we should have seen this as a warning. Our first choice from the menu was the full English breakfast but this wasn't available: apparently it takes too long to prepare! My wife then chose ham and eggs with French fries and peas. The eggs were not properly cooked and the meal was cold. My wife was met with indifference when she complained, being informed that the ham would be served cold (which we would expect) with an offer to replace the meal, which was declined. My meal, sausage and mash, was satisfactory although the green beans mentioned on the menu had been substituted for carrots, red cabbage and peas (just as well I like these). For balance the coffee was OK - it's not Barrista prepared, but from a machine: it's easy enough to press a button. The restaurant itself could use a refresh. Overall a disappointing experience.

Most dishes were off the menu due to certain reasons and the food that my mum had (quiche) was expensive £10. No atmosphere but probably due to being full of ailing pensioners.

I visit Wellingtons cafe at least three times a month and take my grandchildren to soft play on Mondays for a treat . I’ve Always been satisfied with the level of customer service BUT today was the most stressful experience in the cafe - I was holding a baby plus a rucksack and a toddler by my side . It wasn’t busy yet 3 members of staff was just chatting . I asked for help regarding have you a menu and this young lady just plonked one in front of me and walked away , I asked her if she could possibly open the page to where kids meals are and she wouldn’t , it was clear I had my hands full and two thirsty and hungry little ones - no offer of help whatsoever and when I asked for it , it was quite clear to me and other customers she didn’t want to and actually got quite sharp with me regarding me asking if she would help with a high chair . I asked a member of staff what the young ladies name was but they wouldn’t give it to me . All this was witnessed by other customers . During my meal when it finally came she and other members were discussing myself . I will never go in there again and having people like that work for you is not good . More training in customer service is a must .
