First time I have been here. I arrived at 14.45 pm it wasn't too busy. I managed to get a table for two people. Staff customer service skills were fantastic. I didn't have to wait long for my Sunday lunch. My food was hot. All the food is home cooked. They had a few different ales on the tap. Prices were reasonable.Definitely return to this pub again in the future

Had a Sunday roast beef dinner, beef was rather tough, mash potatoes tated bland thick and gooey! Think it was frozen mash! carrots, cauliflower and peas was also bland and straight from freezer, I'm guessing ? the Yorkshire pudding was burnt! Stuffing was Okay though! oh and the gravey was thin, I wouldn't recommend having a Sunday roast here.

As good as ever, nice pub near the junction 28 of the motorway, heading A38 Mansfield direction, bearing left at the Snipe. Good food, pleasant landlord, what's not to like. Very much a traditional style pub, recommended!

Went for food on a Sunday but weren't serving anything else other than Sunday lunch as they had no staff, the chef had gone home

Visited the duke today for a pint after a full day at work and to meet some friends, we decided to eat here myself and my partner ordered a mixed grill and my friends both had the gammon. The food was absolutely amazing and there was nothing bad I could say about it, highly recommend visiting here for some food! Will definitely eat here again ☺️x

Although it looks unassuming from the road this pub is a little gem - an extensive menu full of home cooked food at decent prices, friendly staff and quick service!Parking: Quite a bit of parking at the back
