We got in here last minute due to a bad experience elsewhere. Roy and his staff were so accommodating to us all a party of around 20 for a 60th! The atmosphere, staff and food were absolutely amazing. We would definitely recommend. We were welcomed and treat like royalty from entering the restaurant to leaving. What lovely people. The food was delicious and we all took food away ? thank you for making our night memorable in the best way!

Went in for a monday lunch, i was greeted by shaun who quickly helped us to our table then my waitress chelsea was very well spoken and helpful with our starters and puds!! our caver lewis was very polite and generous with my meat portions, the veg was nice and fresh and was extremely tasty will be back again very soon!!!

Travellers Rest

Ordered a bbq chicken pizza and a hot and spicy. Both were delicious, more than reasonably priced and definitely hit the spot! Wish I knew about these sooner! Much better than a regular pizza takeaway! Found our new favourite!

Friendly staff, great value for money, nice atmosphere in pub. Highly recommend if your in the area! We had the chicken New Yorker and fish and chips, very nice!

I absolutely love Greggs! Whenever I'm looking for a quick and delicious meal, Greggs is my go-to. The food is always fresh and tasty, plus the staff are always friendly and helpful. The place itself is very clean and inviting, making it a great place to sit down for a meal or grab something to eat on the go. If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out!

Ocean Blue Fish Bar

One of the friendliest places Lyon will have the pleasure to buy anything from, and the food is great too!Parking: Parking next to shop and it is monitored on screens you can view inside.

Birds Bakery

Lovely display and stock of foods both hot and cold.Was 4pm so was not expecting much to be left if honest but there were some hot snacks and some lovely cakes available.Purchased 4 to 5 small tarts and a hot snack as well as hot beverages because there were a few bags of cakes and too much stuff on top of counter which I didn't want to mistakenly pick up I managed to leave 3 cakes behind which was the main reason I went there.Although the ones I did manage to pick up were very nice im abit miffed (fault on both sides) to have not taken all my order away.Lesson learnt to not be so cautious when trying to pick up my own order.

Sent my Mrs here who's got major anxiety to grab me and my lad some dinner, much to her displeasure, but she says she was welcomed in by a bloke in a cap and felt absolutely fine with him (which usually she's panicky about!).We only had sausage and chips, but both were beauts ? only lived nearby for 3+ years and never popped in but now you'll be the regular. Thanks for being friendly ?

Like my 2 local Birds' this one is just as good and service to match. Clean shop and polite staff. The item I wanted was not in stock (tomato sausage) please have more in each store and SELL SINGULARLY rather than in packs.

Kings Mill Farm - Dining & Carvery

Best carvery me and my family ever have. We come regularly and don't bother with anywhere else now the food is quality and fresh the meats are great I love the beef dripping roast potatoes and onion gravy and they do mushy peas. The staff are brilliant and always helpful.

Costa Coffee

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable about allergens. Pity the whole of Sutton-in-Ashfield is so run down and especially around this area as visiting this place isn't a pleasure. But once inside it's great and a far cry to the dump surrounding it.Parking: Paid parking on the old market square and free on approaching roadsWheelchair accessibility: Ground floor access easy for wheelchairs to negotiate

The Woodend - Stonehouse

I do like the woodend pub but the experience could be better. Staff went the best although some are nice. Sometimes the food is great other times it’s abit poor. It’s hit and miss. Prices keep creeping up but I guess everything is!

Only called for a pint, not too busy at the time we called, 5ish.Looked at the menu and looks good for meat eaters, need more V options, its not hard to do. Service for drinks where ok.Vegetarian options: More options needed

The Bekash

Staff are attentive and service is quick. Staff cannot do enough for you. The food is beautiful and plenty of it. It really is a lovely place to eat and I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. Very clean environment as well.

The food is amazing with an excellent choice. My favourite is the chilli. But you can’t beat the breakfasts as they use decent bacon and excellent sausages, not the cheap ones! Very reasonable prices.Excellent service too.The girls work really hard to deliver the best food.

OK I only called in for for chips n curry sauce ? however.. the service 10/10 most importantly the cleanliness for superb to see... aswell as serving me thee best chips n curry sauce I've ever tasted. I'm from Sheffield but will be making the drive down in future for sure 10/10.

Golden Dragon

Recently moved to the area and have tried a few Chinese takeaways. Golden Dragon is by far my favourite. The food was hot, tasted amazing and they even through in a few freebies! Honestly can’t recommend enough. I’ve definitely found my go to!

Lovely Jubbly Kebab House

So we ordered from here last night and we had the mixed grill special thing and some fried chicken and chips the the chicken and chips came well cooked and piping hot however there wasn't much flavour but the kebab was on point, hot with plenty to eat we were thoroughly stuffed afterwards so a very well done for that would highly recommend

Yummy Chicken & Pizza

Chicken is really nice, especially the batter they use. I prefer it to KFC, and it is now our go to whenever we are craving chicken ? We have ordered a fair few times now and never had anything to complain about. Fast delivery, delivery drivers are polite and the food is always bang on
