Popped in on my way past for a spot of lunch. I had the Korean burger, absolutely spot on. That hit the spot, the presentation was great, really good balance of flavour and spice. Will be going back!

We have had a fantastic evening for my son's 7th birthday but one person made or evening even more special, our waitress Tracey.....what can I say, she was amazing and an absolute gem. The team are lucky to have someone so helpful, friendly and accommodating. The food was lovely too. Thank you everyone.

One of the best cooked steaks I’ve had in a pub, I visited with my family and all the food came out hot and rather quickly. Staff were really attentive to our needs.

Fantastic trip to the Snipe as always. Food is always spot on for us but the team is what makes the place. Always happy and engaging, they seem to genuinely enjoy working here. Recommend it to everyone.

We recently had a cold buffet for 45 people. A great selection of sandwiches, pork pie, quiche, salads etc. The food was excellent. Everyone commented on the quality and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A special thank you to Charlotte for all her help and attentiveness. Recommended.

Came to The Snipe to catch up with mates. Place is nice and clean. Staff were busy but didn't mind stopping to answer my questions about the menu. We order the sports deal when you get 3 baskets and 2 drinks for £12. Absolute bargain. We will definitely be back.

We organised a family rounders game for the full team one Friday afternoon and the staff at The Snipe were more than accommodating in our request for drinks and food after. With the weather unpredictable they sectioned off the back area of the pub so that the kids could play outside whilst we still had them in sight. Made a great afternoon even better - thank you! :)

Called at The Snipe after being told we’d have an hour and a half wait at another local pub (despite booking a table.) We were greeted by the bar as soon as we walked in and despite it being busy the bar maid found us two tables we could push together. Ordered 5 meals and only waited around 20 minutes. As soon as the table cleared opposite us it was cleared and sprayed. All staff were very polite, the bar maid and the two gents that served us plus a lady that asked if our food was ok. Atmosphere was lovely, busy & loud as it’s the school holidays but service was efficient and food was fantastic. Parked easily and toilets clean.

Myself and my wife have been going to the snipe for twenty years, in all that time it’s slowly gone down hill. We both went on Friday night to find the smallest room full with chavs and workers calling in after work. We went through to the restaurant side and found a table that I can only say was clear but if you touched it you stuck to it like glue. After ordering the food we looked around for the knives and forks which were on a separate table, a serve yourself basis. About ten - fifteen minutes went by before the food arrived, mine a mini grill and the life’s a chicken leg with mash and peas, well what can I say, no one likes complaining but it’s the worse food I’ve ever had, the only thing that wasn’t over cooked were the chips. Gammon was dry, the chicken both tiny pieces was dry, the two sausages were deep fried and dry, the egg look like it was from a cooking magazine but tasted like it was from a kids play set, the pineapple ring was black without moisture, a total disaster. You keep eating it trying to find a moist piece of meat, but it never came. The wife’s chicken was drowned in oil and her mash was cold. The staff were rushed off their feet , serving in the bar, then rushing to serve the food. What’s happened to this pub? Fifty pounds spent on four pints and two meals I could have made for three quid at home, and cooked better too. Sack the chef. Don’t reply with the usual sorry to hear about your visit, please phone me. I’ve said everything in this review, in this day and age where pubs are closing you expect either good beer, guest beer or great food, and I got neither, a special occasion ruined, and ruined at a price. If you look at the reviews the best ones are at lunch time, obviously when it’s less busy and the chefs can concentrate on doing what they’re paid for. I wouldn’t recommend this pub at all, for food or beer, they have a couple of ciders, Guinness and a few larger, nothing outstanding, and food a dog would turn its lip up at. DISASTER.

Service was polite and joyful. The food was also lovely and very tasty, I would come again with my friends and family.
