The service was OK. The food seems to have gone downhill, the food had very little to no taste, it was dry, and a very small portion of meat given.I was going to purchase a £60 gift card for family while I was there, but I decided against this having experienced the food there today.

Food was excellent (on a previous visit we had been disappointed), plenty of meat and all veg etc fresh and topped up. Staff were pleasant although service was a bit slow sometimes.

Visited Christmas Eve. The food was excellent, sprouts absolutely amazing ? Loved the lamb. The only downside about the trip was that the coffee machine was out of order. All in all, a lovely lunch out.Parking: Plenty of parking despite it being Sunday & Christmas Eve.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to park and access the restaurant with a wheelchair and numerous disabled and elderly guests in our party.

We ordered Christmas dinner for 8 people. I can't fault the staff for booking and the service we got when collecting. But the food we was given was disgusting nothing was seasoned, the roast potatoes was charcoal blocks they was that burnt, and the meat we had been given there was meant to be 8 portions or turkey and we was given 4 containers with meat in and there was barely half a tub with turkey in and the turkey that was in was all the end scraps that ypu wouldn't serve to anyone and the rest of yhe meats was also just scraps of meat and the outer skin of the meat with no actual meat attached just the skin. The meat was fed to a dog as that is all it was fit for. I'm disgusted by this as it really ruined our Christmas day dinner and we did it this was due to a family member being treated for cancer (chemo) to protect them from catching anything else while having treatment but really think this was disgraceful costing 30 odd pound per head. I have wrote to complain direct but waiting for a response.Dietary restrictions: Don't have any real gluten free alternatives options just basics like ice cream

Came for a meal here today after doing some Christmas shopping and we wasn't disappointed. Nicolle was our server and she was brilliant, she went about and beyond for us. Will definitely be visiting again.

Sunday lunch. All the staff are friendly & genuinely appear happy. It’s very clean and well kept. A shout out to Ellie who was amazing. She offered to request that the chef cook vegan mash & cauliflower without sauce. When I asked for a vegan meal, she instantly looked at the menu/ingredients at the carvery to inform me of the foods that are vegan. Thanks to the chef for doing that for me too. Above & beyond. Thank you.Dietary restrictions: The staff are knowledgable regarding what foods are vegan from the carvery. The chef is happy to adapt or veganise mash etc.

We had a lovely meal on Friday night, it was to celebrate two birthdays and we were very well looked after. We had a great table close to the carvery and all the staff were helpful and friendly. Carvery was delicious and the man serving was happy and polite. We never had to wait long for anything, even though it was very busy with Christmas parties. We will definitely be visiting again!

The food on display looked messy. The macaroni cheese was very dry. The Yorkshire pudding had no taste. The portion of meat was so small, I was shocked. I said something so got a proper amount.

We are regular visitors to this venue so knew what to expect. We always used to have the vegan mushroom and ale pie and we’re saddened to see it taken off the menu. The replacement mushroom and spinach pithivier was ok but heavy on spinach and not a mushroom in sight. That said the highlight was the service of Ellie W. She was extremely pleasant, polite and helpful. A real credit to your team.

Atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Wasn’t busy at all.Food was substandard. Roast potatoes flavourless, the beef was fatty and lots of sinew and bitty, server couldn’t make the meat any thinner sliced lol was quite skingy with the meat. Yorkshire puddings had a funny taste to them although them, I left mine and I never leave a Yorkshire pudding. Veggies were nothing special nor was the gravy so I doubt I’ll be back unfortunately

Went for a family Sunday dinner. Overall food was of a good standard. However, I had my 3 year old great grandson with me and after paying for a child’ carvery for him, he decided to misbehave, being noisy and refusing to sit at the table to eat his meal. Rather than let him disturb other diners with his naughty behaviour, his mother took him out to sit in the car and I requested a take away container for his meal so he could eat it at home. I was charged £1.99 for a cardboard container, much to my annoyance! Next time, I will not show the same consideration to other diners and staff and let him show off. I have never been charged by any food establishment for a takeaway container for any reason, doggy bag, half eaten pizza etc. In these days of trying to cut down on food waste this is what should happen without charging!! Think again Toby Carvery!!!!

We popped into the Toby on a cold night in December and we were starving. We'd been hankering over a tasty carvery for some time. And like an oasis in a drought of bland food being offered by Justeat, macky D's and all the rest. The Toby did not disappoint. There was succulent lamb, hock, gammon, beef Turkey and Chicken all cooked to perfection, sliced and served by a young chef with huge Yorkshire puddings the size of saucers and gravy, lashings of gravy, cranberry, mint and all other condiments. But let's not forget the vegetables; Roasted parsnips, carrots, Brussels, roast potatoes and more I simply can't remember. And yes we filled our plates way too high and it was worth it. I haven't been to a Carvery in a long while as I've struggled to find any but the food offering was mega. I didn't know that places like Toby Carvery existed anymore. And thank goodness they do. We were served by a young lady with glasses who couldn't do enough for us. She gave us the special treatment. Not bad considering we just polled up off the street with no previous booking. The atmosphere was relaxed and chilled the alcoholic beverages were good. I'd highly recommend this Toby carvery. They deserve a 10/10

Carvery was poor. Tiny Amount of meat and it was full of fat. Couldn’t really eat it. The veg was really good and tasty. There was a huge queue which means you can’t get up for extra veg. Yorkshire pudding was cold. It wasn’t worth £13.99. My local carvery is less than £10 and twice as much meat which is much better quality.

Went there this morning party of 6. Ayce breakfast. Wow. Absolutely rancid. Eggs were snotty, bacon was overcooked. Hash browns undercooked. Black pudding unevenly cooked. Sausages were wrinkly and rubbery. I honestly can't think of one good thing on my plate apart from the tomato sauce and beans were good. I honestly wish I would have gone without. No wonder it's all you can eat. I'd be trying to get rid of it as well.
