I remember when they first opened before having a delivery driver. The service has always been good & the staff friendly. Best local Chinese.

Disappointed with the food and the price , the person who took the order agreed with my views , which made it all the more frustrating it used to be one of the best . But deffinatley now one of the worst !

Visitors with my 2 young boys, the manager Kim was great with the boys! She could see they were nervous to play in wacky warehouse incase there were too many children, she showed the boys around and made them feel so comfortable. It was so reassuring as a mum to know you’re children feel safe and happy! This was followed by some fantastic food and service. We are looking forward to the seasonal events Kim mentioned. Can’t wait to see you all again !

Can’t praise this pub enough. Fantastic service, excellent food, well priced beer and very friendly atmosphere. Had the pleasure of talking to the manager Kim who was accommodating and welcoming at all times. Great experience and will be a regular!

Really enjoyed our family meal. Staff were attentive and helpful from the moment we arrived. Food was delicious. Booking again soon as it was such a lovely evening.

This was the worst dining experience I have ever had food came out cold staff argumentative absolutely awful I highly recommend to avoid we ended up going home very disappointed and very hungry wasn't expecting to go home and order pizzas when we were looking forward to Sunday lunch without the stress of cooking it ourselves the food was sent back twice and they still had the nerve to try and charge me in the end we paid for our drinks which were still half full left on the table will never return to this pub

As a local who remembers good food at the goose, not recently, we decided to give it a chance after a year or more away. Sadly no better. Ordered a chicken sharer and a side of chips for a light snack. Deep fried chicken was ok, though only one goujon, kebabs and tikka strips were both Luke warm when it arrived. Pointed out it was cold and was taken back to the kitchen. After a quick zap in the microwave it was brought back with onion rings that had originally been missed off. Unfortunately it isn’t possible to “char grill” in a microwave so wife decided kebabs were inedible. Charging 60 for xmas dinner and if they can’t do a chicken sharer at a quiet time god help anyone who books.

A pretty poor experience. New barman did his best and was fine, otherwise the other staff were as welcoming as the iron curtain. In fact quite rude and unprofessional in our opinion. The food was ok but cutlery, plates and glasses were just not clean. We asked for a straw for a child’s drink and they said they didn't have any even though there was one on the bar that had been used. We definitely won’t be back!!

I placed a review on here about a month ago but it has been taken down. I ordered off the internet to find that the prices shown were not correct. I paid by phone but when it came it was several pounds more. I complained but they told me I should have gone into the shop to order. The food was not good as they have apparently changed hands and that is why the prices on the internet is wrong.

Visited on a Thursday evening and we were immediately struck by how quiet the dining area was…. I guess we now know why….! Ordered a mixed grill and a beef and ale pie and a bottle of wine… wine glasses were brought still wet from being washed (let alone polished!) My wife visited the ladies toilets and described them as “absolutely disgusting”…..I will spare you the details but you can guess what she was referring too… The food arrived… Oh dear…. My mixed grill consisted of a small cube of unbelievably tough meat masquerading as a “rump steak”…. A piece of dried up chicken, three tiny, soggy, onion rings and lukewarm under-cooked chips…. The beef and ale pie pastry was dry, the peas were shrivelled up and the chips were cold…. No one asked us how the food was until the plates were cleared (complete with un-eaten food…) when we were asked “was everything O.K.” we said no, undercooked and cold, to which the waitress said “Oh, sorry about that…” and cleared the plates…! Two meals, a bottle of house plonk and two coffees came to over £52…. Chain pubs are, of course, notorious for being the masters of portion control, but there is a basic standard that you should reasonably expect places like this to be offering, and this certainly fell well short. Staff in the kitchen larking about with the front of house team during service is certainly unprofessional….. and kind of summed up our visit….. Over-priced rubbish food, dirty toilets and underwhelming service… Suffice to say we shall NOT be returning!
