“This was a quick stop half way through a 6 hour drive from Lancaster to Newhaven for a bit of tea. It’s Monday and they have 2 for 1 on some of the burgers on Mondays. We ordered 3 chicken burgers, 1 beef burger and I asked for mine with eye popping hot sauce ??) This place did not disappoint at all. The guy who served us was lovely, went completely above and beyond with the sauce and the burgers were absolutely delicious, much better than you’d normally expect from ‘pub grub’. 100% recommend and hope it’ll be on our route again in the future!!”

“Found this hotel by pure fluke! We had stayed at another hotel, which was atrocious! And we had to find another one quickly. We were met by friendly helpful staff, who was more than helpful. Making sure we were okay? The food was delicious and an impressive choice for breakfast! Thank you. We will be back”

“Just about the best place in Banbury for a pint of something different. Rob and Karen are the hosts with the most, and Mally is on hand to make sure any snacks that are dropped don’t reach the floor. Excellent comedy nights, and live music from actual bands.”

Great portion size and the price is very good. The deco is amazing as well as mental. My new favourite place and can not wait to go back. Thank you very much for a lovely time and great food.

“Great old fashioned pub set on the green of the village. There's a main road passing in front of the building, so don't expect quiet and peaceful if you sit outside, but it's still nice.

Food is generic chain pub style, not great, not bad, affordable priced.”
