“This was a quick stop half way through a 6 hour drive from Lancaster to Newhaven for a bit of tea. It’s Monday and they have 2 for 1 on some of the burgers on Mondays. We ordered 3 chicken burgers, 1 beef burger and I asked for mine with eye popping hot sauce ??) This place did not disappoint at all. The guy who served us was lovely, went completely above and beyond with the sauce and the burgers were absolutely delicious, much better than you’d normally expect from ‘pub grub’. 100% recommend and hope it’ll be on our route again in the future!!”

“We were privileged to play the final set of the Bodicote Bash 2025. The organisation was brilliant! Great stage, sound system, sound engineers and crowd is what we found as performers. As a customer, multiple bars, food, amazing musicians, a variety of music, and the most fabulous atmosphere and clientele. You dont need an event to enjoy this lovely pub and its friendly staff. We highly recommend popping in for a pint anytime! Kelly and the team will make you very welcome.”

“Had a meal here with the family tonight the 24th December, had a roast as well as items from the main menu. The service was outstanding and the staff very polite and accommodating. I hadn't been here for a long time, but after tonight I couldn't recommend it enough and will definitely be back soon. Danny, Hannah, and the girls. Merry Christmas x”

“Great old fashioned pub set on the green of the village. There's a main road passing in front of the building, so don't expect quiet and peaceful if you sit outside, but it's still nice.

Food is generic chain pub style, not great, not bad, affordable priced.”
