Didn’t stay but had dinner here. The food was amazing very tasty and fresh and several options! Very friendly staff and dog friendly so all in a perfect dinner venue!

Fantastic, excellent bar with lots of drink choice. The staff were great, all so friendly and accommodating nothing with to much trouble. The lovely waitress we had (I think her name was Immy) kept apologising to us about the wait as they had a large table in. She was such a pleasant young lady. However considering that the wait wasn’t too bad at all and the food was certainly worth the wait. Great beer garden. Dog friendly, all round great little gem!

We stayed on our way down from Yorkshire to Dorset and also on our way back. The pub is superb with top class beer, staff and food. Nice stone floors which let the dog cool down in the hot weather and a private garden at the back where the dog can play. We are going again in October and will stay at the Sun both ways again.

03 September 2023 We had an excellent Sunday lunch. Everything about the experience was good. Great tasting food and nicely presented, along with pleasant and cheerful wait staff. In addition, the Sunn Inn had a very pleasant and relaxing ambience. Pricing of food is also a bit tasty, but acceptable providing they can keep the standards up.

Everything about this place is great but the staff especially are fantastic. Everyone of them cannot do enough for you. The room was very nice clean tidy. One little critism there is no bedside cabinet on one side of bed. Beautiful meal in restaurant the steak was perfect. All in all a fab visitRooms: Room was very nice comfortable hairdryer iron tea tray etc. Lots of toiletries couldn't fault apart from no bedside table on one side and no make up mirror but very niceSafety: The barman gave us instructions about fire escapes etc as soon as we got there very goodFood & drinks: Lovely menu plenty of choice and reasonable price bar the same. Lots of choice and served so beautifully

Great service from the moment we checked in. All 3 members of staff that I encountered, including the bar, were wonderful. Great breakfast included with room and we were given a pot of tea before we left.

The sun inn is one of the friendliest places we have ever stayed. The staff are fantastic nothing is too much trouble. Room was very nice and comfortable everything we needed. We had a meal in the restaurant which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Would definitely stay here again
No complaints about price, but low on hospitality. As soon as i arrived, a girl asked me to pay for my stay...hardly even a greeting. The " complimentary continental breakfast in your room" was all self service which had to be eaten on the bed - no chair or table. No toast . Stale coffee. Foul smell from bathroom sink (?). Air filter sounded like a cement mixer. Have been here before and quality has gradually declined. Disappointing.

We stayed in Hook Norton for two nights and the Sun was opposite us. Straight in for several Hook Norton Brewery Beers and on to the Brewery cafe for lunch. Was Sunday and all tables at the Sun were fully booked. Can actually recommend Hook Norton Brewery Cafe as well! We had pre booked at the Sun for Monday evening and were not disappointed. Chose 3 starters to share between 4 and 4 different mains. All superb. Went for the Stowford and Thatchers ciders as had found a great bottled cider selection at the Brewery (forgive me but I did grow up on Old Hooky ??). Our visit was all to brief but we are definitely going to be back ?

Excellent food, ambiance and service. Not much more to be said.Update: Once a month now doing a mid-week roast. Choice not as extensive as on Sunday but still one of the best roasts around and ours just came with a free dessert! Brilliant ?

AJ could not do enough for us! We visited to see if we could hold an event there. She took the time to show us around the whole place. She was friendly, informative and professional. We had a delicious lunch too! A lovely lace to visit.
