Moved to the area very recently and heard many good things about this restaurant from many people and online reviews also and decided to visit. Very lovely restaurant with very friendly staff and outstanding food!! Highly recommend this to everyone else and will definitely be revisiting!

Since moving to Bicester I’ve been desperate for a decent curry, this place is by far the best I’ve had in a long time. Great food, great service and the atmosphere in the place was just what you want. 10/10 for me and will definitely be coming back. The lamb dhansak is an absolute must !!!

Try theme nights at Shakils during December great food and music. Very enjoyable build up to Christmas. Set menu in these nights. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Review: ⭐️ Rating: 1/5 We traveled from Leeds to London for the New Year's fireworks display, deciding to make a stop in Bicester for shopping, a meal, and an overnight stay at a local Travel Lodge. Our choice for dinner was Shakils, a small family restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, we encountered menu discrepancies, as the items we initially chose were not available. After settling on paneer chilli tikka, lamb tikka, and chicken tikka starters, we faced unwarranted additions to our order, such as a pickle tray and salad, which we explicitly declined to pay for. The starters were subpar, tasting as if they were all cooked in the same pan with the same flavor. The food was cold, and the service was lackluster. We were coerced into ordering more dishes, and only when we threatened to leave did the waiter change their approach. The main course was disappointing, with old, cold, and bland dishes. We ordered boiled rice, which never arrived. To make matters worse, we were charged a 10% service fee that wasn't disclosed at the restaurant. I attempted to address the issues at the restaurant, expressing my dissatisfaction, but was met with indifference. To add to the disappointment, I experienced discomfort and illness the following day, likely linked to the food quality. I am now left with no choice but to dispute the full amount charged by Shakils on 30/12/2023. The lack of transparency, poor service, and unsatisfactory food make this establishment one to avoid. I hope my bank can rectify this situation and serve justice to customers who encounter similar experiences.

Tried a take away as it seems popular in the area.Firstly, it’s pretty expensive, wouldn’t be an issue if the food backed it up though… it didn’t!This was the least authentic Indian food I’ve ever had. Everything is so full of sugar it’s s you can taste.Do yourself a favour, try somewhere else.

Shakils provide wonderful food at competitive prices. The authentic flavours enrich the diner’s experience and the service levels are truly outstanding! If you haven’t tried Shakils, then I urge you to make a reservation. It is a rarity these days to experience such a welcome blend of mouth watering food combined with excellent table service.

The food was fantastic ( had it delivered ) Was reasonably priced. Not oily like a usual Indian and everything was cooked great. ( no chewy chicken ! ) extremely flavourful and arrived fast too
