We visited here for the first time yesterday and were so so impressed. Genuinely every single member of staff, from the host, to servers, to even the cooks carrying food up and down the stairs- were all SO lovely & polite. The food matched the service, a truly delicious & fresh breakfast, the ingredients seemed of such a high quality. Also, I have spent all day today thinking about the coffee milkshake I had, was super thick which was perfectttt, creamy & the flavour was fantastic.

We don’t live in Bicester but we are so excited to go back, and I have already recommended it to all of the friends & family I have spoken to since ? My only piece of advice would be to pop a ‘more seating upstairs’ sign somewhere, as we very almost turned around and left when we saw it (the downstairs) was full, but luckily heard the host mention to someone that there was more seating upstairs.

Really exceptional brunch - I don’t usually bother with breakfast except when on holiday or travelling. My usual benchmark is Gordon Ramsay’s full English at his Plane Food in Heathrow Terminal 5. This place knocks the “*” out of Gordon’s offering.
The Cotswold Belly Pork Chop they offer is without doubt the best piece of pork I’ve had in several years.
The Host was not very forthcoming when I tried to find out from him how the chef achieved such tender succulence and I was left none the wiser - perhaps they cook it ‘sous vide’ before grilling? It was the epitome of satisfying melt in the mouth
meaty unctuousness.
Service and price to value ratio excellent.
Only two v v small niggles - water in teapot to be hotter, skin on sausage a bit ‘rubbery’.
Oh, and it would be great if they offered a potato side option, a rosti or sautee.
This place is lovely and will be on our must go list in the future.

Gutted that we haven't been here sooner. Booked last minute for New Year's Eve for two of us. From the moment we walked in, the hospitality was wonderful. Very attentive and friendly, went out of their way to ensure we had a lovely evening. The food was absolutely delicious too. My husband said the sirloin steak was one of the best he had ever had. I had three of the starters instead of a mains and each one was fantastic: vine leaves, goats cheese and halloumi. Atmosphere was great too. Would recommend this place 100%.

First visit to Wimpy Bicester and first time visiting a Wimpy in over 10yrs, (our local closed) we weren’t disappointed!!

Menu still has many of the old classics and they’re just as good. A few new extras too
Service was fast, polite and efficient. Our nostalgia was somewhat lost on the man serving us, he probably thought we were winding him up, 2hrs from home for a Wimpy (well not quite we were already in the area).

We ordered a classic cheeseburger and a triple 1/4lb bacon and cheeseburger. Both with chips, pepsi and a pot of tea.

Circa £30, like everything these days its not cheap but I would say good value for money

We enjoyed a fantastic early Xmas get together meal this weekend at The Fox Inn. The manager John was so accommodating over the weeks whilst we were setting everything up for our group of 15 coming from all over England.
On the day we had a lovely room all to ourselves off the main bar, with a beautiful long table able to seat us all decked out beautifully with crackers!
Although some of us were over 30min late the food still came out hot and perfectly cooked, I can personally recommend the mushroom stroganoff and cheesecake!
We all enjoyed lovely meals and drinks served by very attentive, friendly staff and we never had to wait for anything.
The venue is a lovely, cosy, atmospheric little local pub/restaurant and I couldn't recommend it more.

I had a really lovely experience at the Tesco café recently and felt it was important to share just how positive it was, especially considering how busy it was at the time.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear the café was under a lot of pressure. It was quite busy, and as a result things were a little bit messy—but honestly, that was completely understandable. When a place is that popular, you expect a bit of a wait and some hustle and bustle, and it certainly didn’t take away from the overall experience.

What really stood out, though, was the front of house staff. In particular, a young girl who I believe was called Georgia was absolutely fantastic. She handled everything with such professionalism and calmness, even when dealing with some quite difficult and impatient customers. It couldn’t have been easy, but she remained polite, composed, and genuinely kind throughout.

At one point, you could sense a bit of tension coming from the kitchen as they were clearly under pressure too, but Georgia and another colleague were doing everything they possibly could to keep things running smoothly. They were going above and beyond—checking in with customers, keeping people informed, and just generally making sure everyone felt looked after despite the circumstances.

I also have to mention how wonderful Georgia was with my children. She was warm, friendly, and engaging with them, which made a huge difference to our visit. It’s not something you see everywhere, and it really shows how much she cares about her role and the customers she serves.

Overall, while the café itself was a bit untidy due to how busy it was, the effort and attitude of the staff—especially Georgia—completely made up for it. It’s clear the team is hardworking and dedicated, and they deserve recognition for the way they handle such demanding situations.

A genuinely positive experience, and we’ll definitely be returning.
