One of my favourite cafés. Food and coffee great, with a lovely lounge to relax in. A great village atmosphere where friends and strangers alike are made welcome. Thank you Jo and all your staff.

We had a family reunion of 11 (the Smith clan) and were welcomed to have our tea and coffee in the comfy lounge area. When that was over, my husband and I stayed on and had a great vegan and veggie breakfast ...the ladies cooking and serving were so helpful as I was revisiting my family connections (as grandfather was village policeman dyring the war and the police station was a big whitewashed cottage called The Limes...now Stanford Cottage). My grandmother saved her shillings to buy this off the Berkshire constabulary. We took away some delicious vegan cakes for later. Can't wait to return!

Clean and well designed cafe with a mix of easy chairs and dining tables. The kitchen is open to the diners and the staff quietly make excellent food. We chose the breakfast but other patrons ate a mix of sandwiches and salads. We went on a Friday at 12:15 as closing was 2pm.

I went here fir a coffee and to kill time before a funeral, and for the gathering after it. Excellent service and coffee both times, and a very good spread as well. Recommended.

Great breakfast.. wonderful little chef.. xx best waitress in the world...
Service was good, lots of things on the menu, I had a coronation chicken sandwich, it was lovely, my husband had the medium breakfast and that was also very tasty. Will definitely go there again, and maybe take some photos.

Wonderful recent find located next to Standfords Co-Op shop with parking and outside seating available. Dogs welcome at the outside tables. Great choice of daytime snacks and hot food, reasonably priced and definitely a go to if you’re in the area in need of a cuppa etc. Great staff; both polite and efficient.

An enjoyable catchup with a friend and former colleague, only serving drinks and cakes Astley had had flooding that morning but were beavering away to rectify it and were still smiling. It was very busy which was great to see, will definitely be back.
