One of the best Sunday roasts in a while ... It was just the right amount of pink, not pandering to those who seem to want it like shoe leather. Very generous sides and the pumpkin gratin has changed my view of the squash family... Service was a little slow at times but they were very busy. All in all a great visit and a lovely meal...

Out on a Sunday afternoon walk around Buckland and called in on the off chance we could get a cuppa. They were happy to serve us a pot of tea and a bowl of chips for our hungry child. Very friendly service, beautiful location, lovely atmosphere. Will definitely be going back to try their lunch menu sometime!

We stopped here for lunch on a quiet Thursday in January. Beautiful fire, intimate atmosphere, charming service, beautifully presented and cooked food, all fresh and homemade. Many thanks for looking after us.

Food & drinks: We went to the Lamb Tavern for my 50th birthday and we had very good lunch. I had the whitebait for starter, delicious, the main carvery was plentiful and very tasty.I sampled some of the chocolate ice cream and although I don't normally like it this was like eating a chocolate truffle in ice cream form! The waiting staff were friendly and looked after us very well.I would definitely go back!

My girlfriend organised a family lunch for my 50th birthday and the food and waiting staff didn't disappoint. We were made to feel welcomed from the moment we sat down. Most of us had the roast which was delicious! Some had the sausage and mash, I had a taste of the sausage but found them disappointingly tasteless. My lamb was really tasty though. The ice cream were amazing! The waiting staff were friendly and attentive. I will be back soon!

Sunday Lunch was absolutely delicious. This is such a lovely place with great staff who were there if you needed them, but not overbearing.I had the pork belly which was cooked perfectly and fell apart. The veg and all the trimmings were really tasty and cooked how I like them. This is the best roast I've had in a pub - EVER!!I will definitely be back soon to try more of the menu.Food & drinks: Delicious ?

A friend and I stopped for Sunday lunch at The Lamb today having never been before despite only living down the road. I’m so glad I’ve discovered it now. We both opted for the Sunday lunch - the half chicken for me and the pork for my friend. Hands down probably the best Sunday lunch we’ve both had in a long time and definitely worth having if you’re passing - we’ve already made plans to come back in a couple of weeks time. You could not fault the service received from everyone we encountered today and they are a credit. For two high quality roast dinners under £40 including drinks you can’t go wrong.

Fantastic Sunday dinner, with beautiful sides. My son and friend are both veggie and great to see sone well considered options for them.. Professional and friendly staff. The ‘normal’ menu also looks great, so will definitely be back to try more! Really enjoyed our visit well done all - keep up the good work!

We had dinner there last night after a long hard week at work. Being able to relax and let someone cook for us was just what we needed! It was so refreshing to have a delicious meal prepared properly by decent chef, instead of the usual "chain" pub/food outlets with the same old same old menus cooked in a microwave. The Lamb Inn is local to us but it was our first visit. The atmosphere when we walked in was warm with the bustle of people chatting and laughing over their drinks. The staff were very friendly yet professional, attentive without being intrusive and the food was amazing! The restaurant was cozy and very clean with a feeling of home, the tablecloths and clean linen napkins just made it a cut above. You can tell the staff care. It felt all the better for supporting a local private business too. Support local! We will definitely be back, and a plus, we were given a voucher for a discount next time, fantastic incentive and show of appreciation of our custom. Well done The Lamb Inn!

Phil is such a nice man.. Nothing is too much trouble. I had lamb with home made mint sauce (with mint from the garden). There are a lot of home made elements which are such a nice touch to each meal. I wish the owners every success.

Phil is a perfect host and chef Nathan is a maestro of the culinary arts. A visit here is a must to experience a transcendent British gastropub. Local brews and produce celebrated with reverence and passion. Keep up the great work team Lamb!

The best food around for miles. Every thing is home cooked, including the filo pastry. The peach cobbler was so tasty. Really cannot fault it. The service is friendly and there are table cloths and proper napkins!
