We went to the cote in Henley twice in the space of a month the first time the French onion soup was like half a small bowl I mean come on it’s soup fill the bowl up. The beef bourguignon was so shallow you could see the bottom of the plate for what your paying the portions should be better. We had forgotten our voucher that our children had got us as a present so went back a few weeks later to get it used I have the same thing every time I go to cote and it was better this time they had changed the bowls and the portion seemed a bit better but does not seem to be consistent. Although I would return to cote I just wished they wouldn’t scrimp on their portion sizes as it’s not exactly cheap to eat there.

We had a lovely time at the Henley cote. It was a relaxed evening and we were particularly impressed by our waiter Thomas. Well done everyone!!

We attended Cote for my partners birthday and we had an absolutely brilliant time! We were treated amazingly by the staff and my partner felt extremely special. Will definitely be returning! Thank you so much! X

Really good evening, good service on an evening where they were not too busy. Delicious food and wine and great being able to have a good conversation with friends without overpowering music.

Pleasant decor and reasonable service from the sixth formers working as waiting staff - but the problem is the food. For starters, the small souffle was fine, but our other three dishes were just ok. The crab was slightly high and the whole dish had obviously been refrigerated without covering for quite some time. Main courses were problematic. Minute steak was low quality and covered in some kind of coating that tasted, for some reason, of sugar. Mussels were served in a mass market tomato sauce, pork belly was obviously precooked and warmed up, judging by its congealed surface. In fact, everything appeared to be heavily precooked and then warmed - not what you expect from a place with 'Brasserie' in its name. The whole experience reminded me of those terrible chain restaurants from the 1990s (eg Bella Italia) which I thought we'd left behind. It seems Cote are keeping their spirit alive.

The food and service was top notch. Well worth a visit. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Service charge is on your bill-which I’m not a great fan of but it wasn’t a problem

We were planning to eat at Cote in Marlow but as we couldn’t park in Marlow came to Henley to try out the Cote here. Perhaps a tad unfair as from the off we were comparing the two. Henley Cote seems nice enough, but the chicken liver parfait wasn’t as good as we have had before. They didn’t have the French lemonade so I had some thing else instead. The fish pie had over 10 bones in, we have had this dish many times over the year without a single bone. The beef cheek was missing something, wasn’t as rich as usual and the beef chunks had a tougher texture than previous. Service wasn’t anything to write home about but equally not poor. But £70 for a substandard meal wasn’t great. Perhaps it wouldn’t have been as bad if we were not comparing it to Cote in Marlow. They can’t change it but they are close to a busy road junction and so lorries and car beeping horns doesn’t add much to the atmosphere. I can see from trip advisor that they seem to have a nice ‘hidden garden’ area, very well hidden as we were not offered a table in that area nor knew it existed, that could have been a redeeming factor but wasn’t to be.

Great location and staff! Perfect little stop off on a busy day. The wine recommendation was perfect. I'll definitely pop back on a sunny afternoon

Sunday lunch for 3. Good menu, superior food and service. Nice 'French' ambience. Not cheap but good value.

4 of us arrived without a booking and enjoyed a great meal there with service to match. There is a wide menu choice all of which is reasonably priced and their steak tartare starter was excellent.

First time out to dinner without the two small kids and disaster.I have an allergy to Black Pepper and Chilli. They were aware and I checked the ingredients on their list to make sure. Despite this I was served the Lamb rump with ratatouille which had Chilli in it. I, of course, had an allergic reaction and ate less than a 3rd of my food. My wife's pork belly I am told was amazing. I couldnt even finish my glass of wine and now I can't taste anything now for a couple of weeks till my taste buds grow back and my mouth blisters heal. They did comp the meal with a sincere apology but it really killed the night and might have killed me too. Luckily I always carry epi-pen and antihistamines with me.Decor is not as good as Marlow restaurant and lacks the atmosphere expected.Sadly we shan't be returning.

Absolutely outstanding. We had our wedding meal here for 35 people, and it was everything we'd hoped for and more. Ruta went the extra mile to make the experience special, with decorations, flowers, and all the help in the lead up to the day. Her team and the service they provided was excellent. The food was top quality, as it always is at Cote. They absolutely nailed it! Thank you to everyone who was part of the day :)
