Staff were so happy and welcoming. It was nice to see a busy cosy pub. Friendly locals, you could tell that they loved coming there. Lovely food, will definitely come again.

Lovely country pub cosy in the winter and nice garden for the summer.

Most enjoyable pub lunch experience.

We popped in for a quick drink after visiting a nearby restaurant and waiting for the local bus which stops outside. However, the comfortable pub with it's open fire and local dogs providing some entertainment meant we 'missed' a few buses before we finally went out into the cold to go home. The food looks good and we may pop back one day to try it out. ?

Traditional village pub, good atmosphere, cosy fire. Didn't sample the food.

My boss and I have an after work pint here. The drink selection is comprehensive, with bar snacks hot and cold. The staff are very welcoming and friendly as so many of our pubs used to be. The food though, stunning. Beautifully presented, and every ingredient perfectly cooked. With a Sunday roast to die for and weekly specials to accompany an exciting menu, you won't find a pub doing this level of grub for the money within a thirty mile radius. On top of all this ,the Unicorn offers a very spacious beer garden with undercover seating, child and dog friendly in and out, and has a bus stop right on the front door that links into Reading . Thanks to all the staff there for some truly excellent company, food and drink.

Called in whilst staying in the area on a Wednesday evening. Pub was quite busy, but a table was available. Good selection on the menu and the staff were very helpful. Ordered the fish and chips. Excellent fish, just right with the batter, but slightly let down by the greasy chips, they really should have been better! Nice atmosphere, and food reasonably priced. Very popular with the locals

Great food, super friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Their chicken burger is probably the best I have had, and their sticky toffee pudding is phenomenal. I can’t wait to go there again. I don’t usually order puddings but boy oh boy this was so worth it.

Lovely pub! Delicious food and wonderful staff. We were visiting the area and went for dinner two nights in a row it was so good. Thank you for making us welcome and keeping us fed. Will definitely be back.

Great country pub with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The Sunday Roast was fantastic and the choices from the kid's menu were also welcome (there's a half-Sunday Roast for the younger crowd). The only minor complaint was that there was only one bitter on tap when we were there. Plenty of other beers, but one or two more pump options would be welcome.

My husband and I had dinner at The Unicorn and were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The food was delicious and if the weather has been better we could have eaten in the garden.

Good but not enough choice on the Menu, too much fish and not much else, when not everyone likes fish.
