This place was so nice! The food was so unique and the pudding is so nice. Even the kid menu was unique and cheap. However a member of staff did brake a cup. FIVE

As the waiter who greeted me was about to show me to my table, his colleague who seemed more senior told him it wouldn’t be possible. I think it was because it was Friday evening, I was eating on my own and there were plenty of customers coming into the restaurant so they wanted to maximise the seating space. However, there were two free tables which had not been booked. It was both humiliating and rude.

The starters were okay, for the main my partner and I went for the KING PRAWN & CRAYFISH FRILLY TAGLIATELLE .. and we were served a nearly raw, hard chewy pasta that we couldn’t eat, pure disappointment !

Food was fine. Service was good. Atmosphere was fine. Absolutely fine. Everything was fine. Standard Italian chain.

I was welcomed with an Italian homemade lemonade which was perfectly refreshing.I had the butterfly prawns to start with which arrived on a sizzling dish and served with sourdough bread. It was well cooked and very tasty with just the right amount of garlic. For the main I had the classic pasta ragusa served with a fresh side salad.Accompanied by 2 glasses of Merlot, this was a wonderful experience.

I didn’t expect it would be this bad. My prawn pasta got one big and two small frozen prawn. Got to be kidding me. With 17pounds 3 prawns? And portion is absolutely ridiculous.

£7 for miniscule brownie pieces and sauce what ? that's an askon top of that the sauce was not sweet, lumpy, watery and tasted plasticky. couldnt eat itthe arancini had tomato sauce underneath them in the box so they were soggy - not a good idea for deliveries. why do that when you can just put the sauce in a small container like that of the chocolate sauce?however the fried pesto-stuffed gnocchi were a delight and i used them to mop up the tomato sauce from the arancini. they were the best value for money of the three.

Main courses were OK, not great. Mushroom and chicken risotto was bland and lukewarm. Tasted greasy due to temperature. The mozerella (on the pizzas) was raw - not melted. Staff did remove a starter from our bill as it was received after everyone else in the party had finished theirs. Shame as it's a nice venue and atmosphere.

Staff was friendly, but that's about the only nice thing about our experience.Taste was ok but temperature-wise there was a huge problem as all our food came just warm. Really not a pleasant way to enjoy pizza and pasta. The experience would have been so much different if our food was hot. We also had to ask 5 times for some water before we actually had some. Not sure if I'd come back.Kid-friendliness: They have kids' menu and highchairs for younger children.

Dinner with wife and mum in law. Greeted by the manageress who remembered us from previous visits. As per usual with this restaurant every thing was superb. Nothing is too much trouble. Credit to all the staff. Must do restaurant in Oxford.
