Great place for family and friends

A nice historic building. There's obviously been modification over the years. I haven't been for food or one of their music nights so I have no opinion on that but it's a nice local drinking hole.Parking: Lots of parking nearby. Very easily reached location

Lite work

Every 2nd Tuesday is a jam night with extremely talented musicians.

Dropped in for lunch on a hot day, and the two best things about this place is that the temperature was nice enough, and the food wasn’t expensive. Oh, the staff were quite good too! However, you get what you pay for. The burger I ordered was really small, and tasted weird. It’s definitely nice and spacious, but largely devoid of any atmosphere. You could defiantly do worse, but perhaps not a place to take someone you’re trying to impress!

Visited this place for my husband’s birthday and won’t be back in a hurry. Young man behind the bar (left hand side) was rude and miserable. A please and thank you goes a long way these days. Go to other side of the pub to the bar and staff were friendly and pleasant.

Great atmosphere with friendly staff

Good pub with good beer, friendly locals and nice staff. I was here for a recent Bolton Wanderers game, only about 20minute walk from the stadium

We went at noon today, and had a job to find anywhere to sit, it was full of students not buying meals or anything. Bringing in their own sandwiches and perhaps one drink between them on the tables. There must have been 40 ish students. We will not be going back there.

A 20-minute walk from the Kassam Stadium along a dual carriageway. Nice exterior. The interior is a bit disappointing after obvious modernisation, although a real fire and an old settle seat are a nice touch. Two real ales on offer, nothing exciting, Doombar and London Pride.Friendly pub and not too busy before the match.A quick pint of average London Pride at £4.50 a pint.

Seems like a decent party vibe if you're a local. If you're just visiting it's not exactly a tourist hotspot...

Mid portions, usually W food but many Ls. Raised their prices too, terrible value compared to the old prices.

Arrived at the reception desk. There were two people manning the desk. One on the phone the other ignoring us. No acknowledgment at all. The room was small And the bed was hard and a small double. Not at all Comfortable. We went into the restaurant for dinner. We sat by the hotel door as my mobility isn't great. When I went through to use the toilet the same ignorant receptionist barked that that door would be shut at 7 pm and I should of gone all the way around. Obviously failed charm school. She then locked the door. Only the smart Alec didn't lock it she infact unlocked it for all the public to get through lol

Visited here for dinner on 4th November 2022. Staff all friendly and food was excellent. Tables and menus were clean.

Food was perfect had traditional breakfast. Was upset as had an issue and being autistic i broke down in tears. Thanks to staff member and duty manager For taking time out to calm me down and have a chat. Issue was resolved proffessionaly by manager on duty, understandibly she has to speak to other staff involved to check situation. This is fine im no longer allowed my emotional support dog in after two yrs. Today issue was regarding me eating food as receny had no problem or issues. So felt upset intimidated as not explAined to me by young staff behhind bar they jusy whispered in earpeaces which humiliated and embarressed me As its at discretion i said fine im not going to argue it as its not officialy recognised in the uk. I come in for one or two drinks to relax after walking dog.
