Despite booking this restaurant some weeks before, upon arriving we discovered that we would have to eat in the bar as the restaurant had been taken over for a private venue. This was highly disappointing as this was a special occasion and had been booked and confirmed in advance. Because the private was taking place staff were more involved in catering for this initially before turning their attention to us. Food was OK but as we said eating off a bar table does not give the ambience we were looking for on this night.

Great food by new chef Claudio, well presented with nice butterfly on top as well which was edible. Service awesome as well. Vighnesh on bar and tanmay on restaurant were attentive and helpful.

We’ve returned after couple of months to have a quick drink and was very pleasantly surprised by the great service that Vignesh provided, which encouraged us having couple of more drinks and not too long after ordered 3 meal course . 5 star quality food is the least to say, excellent quality and stunning presentation. We sat in the terrace , where we enjoyed great ambience .

The host at the restaurant (Mali) and several of the servers (including Nadir) were very welcoming and accommodating.
Uncomfortable chairs, my wife and I both ordered fondant for dessert,mine was clearly unsuccessful, but they still served it .

Have to give thanks to Izabel on Fri in the main dining room, and to Linu on Sat in the lounge and patio. Both were welcoming, helpful, and provided excellent service to our large group on a busy weekend. Food options were imaginative, fresh and yummy, too.

This was professionalism and tact of the highest level from Team Leader Vignesh, who recognised I had been waiting a touch too long after placing an order at the bar for a simple burger meal...later arrivals were being served promptly. The interaction was measured yet reassuring, with a Guinness on the house to boot! Vignesh is a true credit to the hospitality trade and Voco Oxford Spires, where I had the pleasure to be looked after
