Good drinks, great pricing on food. Went with friends last night all of them said they enjoyed the food one even said it’s his favourite place to go for food. I recommend the bacon and cheese burger with sea salted skin on fries was absolutely gorgeous. It’s a very clean pub with good service, would highly recommend!! :)

The pub is part of Greene King chain. The food was of excellent quality and quantity at a reasonable price. Service from very friendly, courteous and efficient staff. What let it down were the gent’s loos ! Both cubicles were too small to get into ; so cramped. The loo holders were too big for it and in the wrong position. The gents near the pool table did not have a light working in the cubicle so when you closed the door then total darkness! Both loos were dirty . The whole pub is in need of redecoration.I left disappointed hence a 3 out of 5 score. I hope to write to Greene King Head Office about it as something needs to be done to make this pub better.

I didn't have food, probably ok for beer... but horrible cocktail drinks they just mixed on a whim, put loads of sugar, and almost no alcohol. Person serving tried to smile but couldn't hide the disdain to serve cocktails instead of easy beers. Overall, it's not a good experience...

I was walking & decided to stop for a bite . wanted to eat outside but nobody was outside so made sure they were serving outside . they said yes but never came out to see what I wanted. lucky I had some snacks with me . so don't know if the food was good or bad . I guess they forgot I was outside . maybe next time .

Welcoming staff at a large and cozy pub. Most of the food we tried was great and the staff did well to cater to allergies, both times we visited. There's a large selection of drinks and they also show the football!

I liked the place. It's huge. Lots of seating- indoor as well as outdoor. There is a beer garden at the back of the pub- again with lots of seating. And there are heaters, so you can sit comfortably outside without feeling too cold.Prices are not low- but it's pretty much the standard price of pubs in Oxford.Portions are decent. I tried their squid starter and liked it.Service is a little slow. But then I guess it's fine- I had time to spare and wasn't in a rush.

Called in at short notice and the lovely staff found us a table in the bar...Fantastic roast.... Both had the veggie option (beetroot, sweet potato and butternut squash pie).

Nice enough pretty generic pub with sports and all that, and a good selection of beers. The food (beef & ale pie) was wonderful!

Absolutely fantastic pub with an amazing atmosphere and delicious food! The duke is a family friendly place and I often bring my children for lunch and dinner which I can honestly say I have never had any complaints. They're also dog friendly too! Ashleigh and the team have never failed to make our visits perfect, welcomed and comfortable.

The worst Sunday roast I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was boiled even the meat, it was tasteless, very expensive and a massive let down. I paid £80 for 3 adults and 2 children to have a lunch and it was the biggest waste of money ever. Very very upsetting. Will never eat or visit this pub again.

I'm not normally one to complain but a medium rare steak should not be coming out blue. On the return it came out with one side completely charred, which might be appealing to some but not to me (I like my steak to be flipped n evenly cooked). If it weren't for the lovely lady who helped us with our order, my review would be much worse than this. I think there comes a point when people just aren't doing their jobs.I placed an order (chips and ice-cream) on the app at 16:24 and checked up on it about 30 minutes later. When the woman behind the bar followed it up, it was the guy who had come in for a shift at 17:00 who actually exclaimed about my order (it was so comical we're all still laughing about it now). Whichever chef was on the shift before was just clueless.
