For Oxford, somewhat quirky and cute. Expensive, minute portions. Self indulgent staff. Worth a visit for the decor.
Perfect relaxed atmosphere. Able to handle large groups. Food is exceptional and the range of choice caters to different dietary requirements. I would definitely recommend
Vegetarian options: Excellent choice that gives tasty options such as a spicy butter bean dish, chickpea dish, tortilla, couscous, endless dips etc…
Poor quality of service. Overpriced.
Lovely tapas bar....great decor and cosy place for a drink and some good tapas food.
Out of everything we tried the chorizo sausage stood out, is a must try.
Nice vibes for some drinks, white sangria was great
Lovely place for a drink
The staffs are slow with serving and more attentive by receiving orders for drinks and cocktails than food. The food is okay but lacking in authenticity and freshness. Although the interior design is intriguing, it is difficult to eat at these tables because of the uncomfortable chairs. I think this restaurant sounds more like a place to hang out over drinks with friends than it does for eating. To serve meals more effectively and with greater quality, the service must be enhanced.
Worst meal in Oxford
Excellent, what a pleasure :-)
We chose it because it was further from the town centre by strolling nearby Magdalen College. Super tapas and great drinks. Friendly and caring service.

The place has good vibes. The food is bland and underseasoned. The whole experience was very disappointing. Never coming again.

I’ve been coming here for 20 years and always had a fantastic experience. However, the last two times have left a lot to be desired. The cocktails have been of poor quality with missing ingredients and served in glasses not fit for purpose. On a Saturday evening they only had 1 person working the bar who was mainly making the drinks for the restaurant, so people just wanting drinks were left waiting for ages. Staff were not overly friendly and the bartender had forgone the usual Kazbar ‘uniform’ for a big baggy t shirt and sweatpants. I really hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for this Cowley Road institution. Still a quirky, unique venue but now sure if we’ll be back anytime soon.
I used to love this place. I actually was shocked when I went in today. We walked in, no one said hello or acknowledged us, we then went to stand and wait to be seated. Stood there for about 5 mins still no hello. There was a wait, which is fine so we went to sit at the bar and get a drinkThe girl behind the bar didn't say hello, no drink was offered. We had to ask if we could be served, we were then told wait a minute and then the best bit was when the girl behind the bar asked us if we could pass the customer behind us their drink wooow. I was gobsmacked. The attitude was unreal. Finally got told we had one option for a table. Did we want it. Anyway, the whole night was a joke, the service was terrible. I'm pretty sure they did something to our food as there was a long hair in one of the dishes, which we just didn't touch. The guy who owns the place and Coco etc seems (from what I've read) to blame covid, LTNS for the decline in customers etc. It's not covid, it's ur staff, their attitude and the not so great tapas.Avoid at all costs.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious food and cocktails. Will definitely come again when I'm back in Oxford!
