15 years later and we still come to Mario‘s when back in town. And the lovely thing about: every time we come, everything is the same! The owner and the Pizza Master, the tables and chairs, the decor and most importantly the high quality of pizza and pastas stayed the same and we are all so grateful for that. Mario is an institution and a place everyone should treasure! One note: Now that I’m gluten free, I noticed they even have gluten free pasta and the pasta dish I chose tasted delicious!

A slice of Italy hidden away in Oxford! The food is INCREDIBLE here. Authentic, delicious and very well priced. We visit regularly and have never left disappointed, leaving full and counting down the days to our next visit. You are served quickly and friendly by the team which is especially impressive when the food is this good. Give the chains in the city centre a miss and support this incredible independent!!

I only picked up a takeout with my kids but it was absolutely amazing. So simple but so delicious. The boys had a pizza each with absolutely no grease left in the box. I had the spaghetti con Garberoni, which again was a simple dish but done properly was so delicious!Ordering and collection was so easy and the staff were friendly and authentic.Highly recommend, will definitely use again!!

Great service here and food is excellent - you won’t find better pizza in Oxford. It really is an authentic Italian Trattoria, so décor and layout is pretty basic, atmosphere is unfussy.The menu (both food and wine) is humbly outstanding, and very reasonably priced.

Don't expect a fancy place, this is your neighborhood pizza restaurant. We didn't have the pizza but the other dishes were wonderful. We were recommended this by a hotel concierge who said great food at cheap prices. He was right. The server, Fabiena, was wonderful. We had their garlic focaccia, spag. Bolognese, and penne aglio. All were great. I had their salmon pasta which had marvelous taste but way too much salt - skip the extra cheese.
