Our kids treated us for our 50th wedding anniversary. The food was amazing. At the end the chef made a special sweet treat as a surprise for us.

Lovely service and food. House red is a Romanian pinot noir which was fantasticFood wise. Terrine as a starter with the pate in the middle was light and went down very well.Mains. My wife had the lamb, I had the fillet steak. A side of broccoli and bearnaise sauce. The steak and the lamb whilst cooked beautifully, our dishes came out cold and had to be sent back. The management and the fantastic guy serving us (Stojancho) were great offering a salmon cerviche on them and some desserts. Which we politely declined, we were incredibly full after. Well looked after and I did take them up on offer of a coffee, a double espresso and I want to know where their coffee is from. It was amazing coffee.A lovely evening and enjoyed by us. Will be backCheers

They add on a 12.5% service charge to the bill without even asking permission. If you ask them to take it off, they ask you to give a reason to reason to the manager! Damn cheek! CUSTOMERS should decide if the service warrants a tip, and how much to leave. SHEER ARROGANCE! They're in the ruddy service business, so shouldn't expect to be able to automatically charge customers EXTRA for service

My dining experience at Quod Restaurant in Oxford left me utterly impressed and satisfied. Located in the heart of the city, Quod offers an exceptional culinary journey coupled with a delightful ambiance that ensures a memorable evening. One of the most remarkable aspects of my visit was the food itself. From the succulent seafood starters to the perfectly cooked mains, every bite was a testament to the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The ambiance of Quod further enhances the dining experience. The restaurant's elegant interior is tastefully decorated, creating a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. Soft lighting and comfortable seating arrangements contribute to a relaxed and intimate setting. Despite not having made a reservation, my colleagues and I were warmly welcomed and promptly seated. The staff was courteous and attentive throughout the evening, ensuring that we had everything we needed to fully enjoy our dining experience. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended.

We visited Quod for breakfast this morning whilst on a trip to Oxford. Literally one of the best English breakfasts I've ever had, it was gorgeous. My wife had Eggs Florentine and that was gorgeous too - quality ingredients. The staff were amazing. I would highly recommend!!

Weekend away in Oxford with my wife, we wanted somewhere big, with classic good food, fun with a buzzy atmosphere. Quod hit us perfectly.Food was very good, not perfect but excellent oysters from Ireland, a very decent ribeye and excellent duck breast! Lovely honeycomb dessert to finish.Atmosphere was perfect for a Friday night, big groups, couples, people at the bar, very diverse and buzzy.Service was excellent, sharp and friendly! The manager made a point to check in with us and really he the restaurant under control.

Very nice steak and nice staff !?

Quod Restaurant Oxford Review - Mixed ExperienceWhile the service and ambiance at Quod were lovely, our overall experience did not quite live up to the restaurant's reputation or price point.Highlights:Service: Friendly and attentive staff made us feel welcome and comfortable.Ambiance: The atmosphere was pleasant and lively, perfect for a casual dinner with friends and family.Lowlights:Food: While my husband enjoyed his dish, mine and my daughter's were underwhelming.Monkfish Special: Disappointed by the abundance of chickpeas and lack of monkfish in the special.Ravioli: Lacked flavor and had a watery sauce.Sides: Arrived late and the broccoli was overcooked.Desserts: Average, with the pear pavlova falling short of expectations.Overall:Despite the positive aspects of service and ambiance, the inconsistent food quality and high prices make us hesitant to return in the future.

One of the best meals I've had in a long time! We had a lunchtime offer, and the portion sizes as well as the quality of food, prices, and service were very pleasing ?

We visit Oxford annually for a few nights at a time and always have a meal here. It has a lovely ambience (soft music, no rowdy customers or noise going on), soft lighting (of an evening) and good service. The food is always wonderful. I can't fault it at all. All the dishes we've tried have been lovely, cocktails nice too and deserts cooked properly. A trip to Oxford isn't complete without a meal here. Highly recommended.
