Went with a friend after Panto, I think they had some new staff on which made service slower, staff appeared more rushed. The food was ok but nothing special. I wouldn't be in a rush to go back tbh. Very few veggie options.

It was not a great experience. I think the food is all pre prepared and heated up.It's probably better just going for a burger if you're hungry and saving your money for a special occasion at an independent restaurant.

Visit Zizzi with my family. Unfortunately i had to rate 3*. The wait was very long. Food was not as good, especially for the price.I rate 5* for the staffs as they have done their best.

Decent menu with specials for vegans! Staff, a little impersonal and the restaurant is quite hard to visit by car as parking of course is city centre. Drink ex

The food was just ok not special. I had the prawn pasta and my husband had the porcetta. He was disappointed as it was a thin slice that was overcooked. There were not many people eating here just one works party on the table opposite. Not much of an xmas atmosphere! The service was good however and the food arrived quickly.

We pre booked a table as having evening at theatre- was 10 mins late due to traffic. Guy booking people in gave a very frosty your late! Not the warm welcome expected. We were shown down stairs absolutely freezing- asked if heating could be put on but … sat throughout meal with coats on. Luckily service was quick, food arrived tepid and not fresh . £14.95 for a mushroom risotto. Had the main and left feeling hungry as portion very small to go and sit somewhere to get warm and have a drink and pudding elsewhere. Not the experience we were hoping for and won’t be returning on our next theatre visit

This place was actually quite a treat. In England and having Italian is not something we would normally die but we were glad we did we got the pizza and it was being delicious. The service was really good.

Mixed reviews for our visit. We visited on a Saturday evening. We'd booked in advance so beat the growing queue that was appearing and with minimal tables available, we were glad to have booked.Atmosphere and facilities were all great, very clean and tidy, good lighting and seated near the cooking area all added to the atmosphere.Service was a bit flaky. We were shown to the table and supplied menus but nonfirther instructions. We had to call someone over after about 10 minutes to ask for drinks, of the 4 of us, 3 of us received ours after another 5mins or so but we had to ask a couple of times for my wife's Rose, which eventually appeared approx. 10mins after the rest of us.The waitor appeared to take our order and took a couple of items before being pulled away to handle a complaint about a bill on a neighbouring table, therefore abandoning us mid order, at this point we realised we were able to order through the app thanks to the table card buried in a pot at the far side of the table, angled in such a way we couldn't see it.Anyway, order placed and food arrived in an acceptable period. All but my meals went down a treat, with my 'mildly spicy' meatball dish being so hot that I was unable to eat the pasta due to the sauce, this being the first time I've never been able to stomach a spiced dish! Thankfully the garlic bread and my wife's minimal appetite allowed me to finish her leftovers!

A large restaurant within the Oxford city centre & close to the theatres etc. Went early afternoon and it was virtually empty so service was quick. There was an issue with the bill (due to a misunderstanding) but it was sorted very fairly by the duty manager.

We went to Zizi Oxford because we liked the ambience and heard about the place a lot. However we were really disappointed by the food as well as the service. We were not greeted at the door at all even though the restaurant was empty. Upon sitting we were not even offered water and service was very slow (emphasizing on the restaurant being empty). Food was served really cold and bread in particular tasted stale and chicken on top of the pizza felt cold and under cooked. The dessert was good. Overall experience was not good. Not recommended at all.

We had a great dinner! Food was amazing, and even though it was busy, we were served quickly. We made a lot of modifications to our food, but Frederica was patient and helped us swap different items. Would definitely recommend!

Thoroughly disappointing meal. Gone was the light crispy garlic bread of times gone by, we were served an undercooked doughy blob. Serving the chicken milanese, the waiter joked it was a jumbo chicken nugget, which was exactly how it looked and tasted. The pork belly roll was completely tasteless - desperately needing a sauce or some acidity to cut through the blandness. Only positive was that the staff were polite and attentive.

We normally enjoy going to Zizzi in other cities but our experience in Oxford was extremely poor. The food we ordered wasn’t available and the substitutions were badly cooked/disappointing. The waiter who worked very hard was let down by his kitchen staff. For £16.95 each for a main course the standard was not up to scratch. Would not recommend.
