Kenhill Rd, Shenington, BanburyAs this was a special birthday we thought we would invite 20 friends for dinner at our favourite eating place. Mikey the chef patron who cooks everything from scratch rose to the challenge beautifully. As he has previously worked in Michelin starred kitchens he was able to go up a gear or two without difficulty. We had a fantastic meal and all our guests were so impressed. Money really well spent. Must find an excuse to do it again.

Butchers Arms
Shutford Rd, Balscote, BanburySuper friendly local pub. Been here plenty over the past 3 or 4 years and Kate and her team are welcoming hosts. Hooky beers are great, kept old school on the bar with cooling jackets. Plus all usual wines etc and San Miguel for the lager fans. Food is simple and good, 1 dish per day so don't go expecting a long menu!
