An absolutely little gem of a place. Food was excellent with a warm and inviting atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful set in on a country road with views over the countryside. Would highly recommend.

We had a meal here last night. My partner had the fish and chips and I had the burger. The food was amazing, location stunning and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be recommending to any family and friends who come to the Cotswolds.

Had a great lunch and excellent real ales. Note though that prices on specimen menu on website are somewhat out of date.

We have just come back from a wonderful night's stay, we had 3 rooms and all of our party were impressed with the standard of the rooms and the breakfast which had everything from fresh fruit, granola and a choice of cooked breakfasts. The location couldn't be better, we were right in the centre of Winchester In the stunning area by the cathedral. Had the best night's stay.

Ordered Cornish sardines. Was horrified when they were served in their tin still swimming in oil with a piece of bread. Dreadful presentation. Just a measly slice of lemon. Having said that., the rest of my party seemed happy with their food.

We were going to have an evening meal here, but unfortunately they were short staffed so could only offer a very basic burger or fish & chips for dinner. It was a shame, as the pub and village were very nice. We settled for a round of drinks instead and then popped up the road to another pub that did serve a full range of food. The staff that were working that night were welcoming though and the wooded garden area out the back was a great place for children to run around and play.
