Lovely little place to pop in for a decent pint and food. We had the figgs sloppy Jim burger and a double cheese burger, burgers alone were of excellent quality and taste. Definitely worth a try. Service from everyone was great, very warm cosy and friendly atmosphere. Lovely little village shops around

A very tasty meal, lovely setting (could amend the lighting to dimmers), service on point it’s friendly and quick. The roast was delicious and well priced. I very much recommend this pub as a stop over if you need to pass through Oxford. A lovely Sunday lunch! Thank

So pub 4 on our crawl down the high street in Thame and my only feedback or criticism would be the prices! A pint of ale and a 0% gin and tonic was £11 which seemed a little excessive. The food menu is extensive but felt the prices were london prices where I live rather that a town ! Dom behind the bar was lovely and really well informed.Overall nice pub all be it a little on the pricy side

Popped in for a pint of an evening, the pub was lively but not overfull. The barman was cheerful and efficient. Would recommend a visit.

We ordered a steak and blue cheese, onion relish baguette with fries which were served in a paper bag, nice touch. The steak was tender and all very delicious. We also ordered the ploughman’s which was served on a large wooded board. This was the best ploughman’s we have had when dining out. Huge slab of cheddar, 3 thick slices of proper ham, a whole scotch egg with a runny yolk and some relishes. Really good value too. Also, they serve an excellent pint of real ale!

Lovely food and a great selection of beers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A proper friendly pub. Highly recommended.

Four of us had the Sunday roast, 3 beef and 1 pork. The portions were large, with yorkshires, roasties and vegetables. The pork was fine but the beef was very chewy we were given a choice medium or well done, we opted for well done but it was very rare. Not the best roast by a long shot and sad if this is, to quote their slogan, ‘the best Sunday roast in Thame’.

One of our favourite places in Thame. Shirt menu with good food including veggie options, friendly and attentive staff; unpretentious, welcoming, and warm. Lovely beer garden with a separate bar area that is perfect for little private parties. Parking - although do be careful as it cuts through the walkway between the pub and garden.

The James figgs is lovely. Would like to give a huge thank you to Dom for the wonderful services and the many laughs he has given me. Again massive thanks to Dom and all the team.

The whole pub needs a thorough deep clean. Closer inspection it isn’t clean. The floor around the front bar is caked in dirt around the brass bar. Dust is absolutely everywhere, from the picture frames to the ledges upon the walls. The front window ledges have dead bugs, dust and grit on them and they have smudges all over the windows. The door edges are filled with dirt where dirty hands have pushed them open. The ceiling is… well… I’m sure even the staff can see the problem. The toilets in the front bar are also not to a high standard with a thick layer of dust on the sanitary bin, the soap dispensers covered in gloopy soap and the mirror smeared. The doors and handles to the toilet doors are caked in dirt along with the edges of the tiled floor. And each time I have been the toilets they have been blocked in some way, It isn’t clean. I have came to visit a few times over the last few months and after the 5th visit it was time to write a review, thinking some changes would be made but they haven’t. The food is tasty but it isn’t particularly anything special. The burgers are actually white small for the price and the fact it only comes with chips is quite disappointing for the price. Honey and mustard mini sausages just taste of honey - no mustard. The drinks are one of the highest in Thame and considering the service is quite distant and not very friendly, you’d expect a premium setting with premium drinks and food. The garden however is great and a good size. Nicely maintained. Love the atmosphere and choice of music but the cleanliness lets it down.

You wouldn't know it from the High Street frontage, but a large and busy garden out the back. Well worth a visit.

Spent an enjoyable hour at lunchtime. The burger was very tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed a chat with a couple of locals that obviously visit daily. Recommended.
