We went for lunch and had bubble and squeak and creamed mushrooms on toast. My bubble and squeak wasn't actually bubble and squeak, the potatoes were hard cubes rather than fried mash. It was quite tasty, but not as advertised. My wife's mushrooms were nice but quite small for a full meal. Decor on tables will split opinions but certainly by window it's quite hard to put cups and plates on table too. Our experience of service was it was fine rather than particularly friendly.

This is a really unique cafe, it has a sort of bohemian feel with the random mix of antique decor and ornaments. Lovely friendly staff and the service was quick. The vegan breakfast was nice as was the generous slice of ginger cake. My only small bit of feedback is the kitchen doesn’t seem to have an extractor fan and the frying smells fill the cafe.

My wife and I both ordered the breakfast and weren't disappointed - absolutely delicious. It was my first experience of this marvellously quirky little cafe and it certainly won't be my last.

Pleasant spot with nice coffee. The breakfast baps are very good but the veggie and main breakfast quite average. The veggie breakfast has the tiniest amount of halloumi in it, the service very slow.

This is a truly wonderful cafe. Everyone is so kind and friendly and go out of their way to provide great service. It is busy so occasionally you may have a short wait but it is more than worth it. The food is a mix of breakfast, snacks, cakes, lunch and a huge choice of food. One day I listed the items I would like, all on the menu, and it was not a problem. I especially love the jacket potato with coronation chicken, the omelettes and actually everyone I’ve had. The decor is a fascinating eclectic mix of Coronation memorabilia for the UK, plus books, newspaper and other books. The food is excellent value for money. I can take my dog in. It is not huge inside but a lovely mix of sofas and tables. My dog has been treated to a sausage on more than one occasion! There are a couple of outside tables. It is suitable for families, couples and going on your own. I love it and will be returning frequently.

Nice pastries, atmosphere and drinks. Service was a bit off (not that friendly, and there was no record of what we'd ordered when we came to pay, so we had to remind).

The coffee shop has a lot of charm , alway pop in. But finding it to pact with stuff bit to over the top. Food is very good. Staff are great.

Cannot comment on the food as we only had drinks, but everything we saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. The space inside is quirky and comfortable, a great place to relax, however service is very slow. It took over 20 minutes to serve up two basic coffees. It's certainly not the place to go when you are in a rush, but if you want to chat and chill then this is better than any large chain. I cannot imagine you would ever feel hurried along. The back garden was a bit grim, but if you have toddlers that are going to be running around and annoying you / others, it's perfect as there is a mud kitchen. I noticed games and even knitting on some of the tables so I would certainly go again with my daughter.Kid-friendliness: Mud kitchen, games and toys available

The decor was quirky in a good way and the food was delicious, piping hot and good value. Staff helpful. Would have been nice to have paper towels or hand dryer in the loo, and better taps but that's a small niggle!

Wanted to get coffee, ended up getting creamy mushrooms on toast, minus the spinach, Eugh, why?Lots of breakfast choices, cakes, baps. Many vegitarian opions. Well worth a visit, even if its for the ecclectic decour. Comfy sofas, mirrors on the walls, framed quotes.A special little hide-away with an outside seating area and on street seating. Pay them a visit, you won't regret it.

Turned up with my youngest for a breakfast, seeing as we were in town. Lived here a while and not been to Mollies, so figured it was high time I gave it a go.Opted for the Bunkfest Breakfast minus the black pudding as its not our thing. Also ordered two teas and two orange juices. Wasn't prepared for the 45 minute wait (I think we might have been forgotten, to be honest as we were seated in the back terrace/garden). The café wasn't busy either.Tea was smashing as was the orange juice. Breakfast - when it came - was really flavoursome. Bacon and sausages were lovely and the mushrooms were cooked perfectly. Golden fried egg and cooked tomatoes on the vine were superb. Enjoyed the toasted tiger bloomer too which was cut to lovely doorstep proportions. I guess a hash brown or two might have really finished this meal off wonderfully. Condiments would have also been a nice touch.Only giving 3 stars because:- the long 45 minute wait- a really unkempt back dining area (kinda felt like I'd walked in on a mums and tots group as there were kids toys and play sand slung everywhere)- toilets were not to a nice standard (water supply hard to manage and a grubby cerise pink hand towel instead of more hygienic paper towels)I'm sure Mollie's could be fab. Sure, the food is fantastic, but - and this is said with only good intent - the general unkempt and untidy nature of the place and the long waiting times do knock the lustre off what would otherwise be a smashing experience.
