Whilst we were all disappointed with most elements of the Sunday roast, others at the table chose alternative dishes and were very happy with them. Deserts were fabulous, especially the sticky toffee pudding. Great choice of ales, and the waiting staff were attentive and highly professional.

We moved to the area just over a year ago and have been regulars to the Red Lion ever since. We just can’t fault the place! The pub is gorgeous, really welcoming and cosy, the food outstanding and a Saturday morning walk with the dogs there to have coffees and home made cakes is a regular treat. Thanks Tom for your fabulous welcome and to all your amazing team. Looking forward to lunch with you next Sunday ?

We discovered The Red Lion over the Christmas period after various recommendations and promised to visit for ages. We have now been 3 times in 10 days and took the family for an amazing NYD meal. The food is fantastic, the service is friendly and efficient and the venue is cosy and welcoming and the drinks are varied and great quality. I think they’ll be seeing a lot more of us in 2024!

This is the second time we have eaten here - once for lunch and once for dinner. Friday's dinner was outstanding! The food, the service and ambiance were all top notch and worth every penny. We'll definitely be back - this place is a real gem.

I visited this wonderful little pub yesterday with my family. The staff were all very friendly and very accommodating. The Sunday roast was absolutely outstanding. We all had lamb for two sharing boards. The presentation was 10 out of 10 and the taste was delicious. I cannot recommend this total gem of place enough. We cannot wait to return.
The atmosphere was so relaxed, even though they were quite busy. All of the staff were smiling and nothing seemed a problem. We only went for dinner, but landed up staying 2 1/2 hours as we were all very happy. The food was scrumptious and plentiful, even my 16 year old Son was satisfied. The only minor complaint have is that it would have been preferable to have more than one veggie option. Uploading the picture of my lamb has made me hungry!!!

As promised, we returned to the Red Lion for a working lunch. They had an excellent Christmas Ruby beer available, which I can definitely recommend, as well as the usual wide range of beers. We ordered the Lamb Rump with Shoulder Croquette plus the Belly of Pork with Bubble and Squeak bon bon dishes, plus side vegatables of Maple glazed carrots and Lemon & Chilli cabbage. This time the food wasn't just very good but exceptional. The Lamp and Mint jus combination was probably the best thing I have tasted in the last few years. Overall, a tremendous lunch and not expensive when you consider the excellent food and drink on offer.

Lovely pub, good food,good service. The only criticism was 12.5 % service charge added to the bill. I work in catering and I know hiw important tips are but I prefer to choose when and how much to give. Otherwise couldn't fault it.
